Don't forget the key elections in Europe just to add to volitility in the markets.
Hope the ankle starts to improve soon and sleep training heads in the right direction.MortgageStart Nov 2012 £310,000

Rambunctious - this must be the MSE word of the day.
Your colourful vocabulary always entertains me and reminds me I ought not be so dull with my own choices.
I think children will sleep when they want to / are mature enough to do so. Whilst encouraging good sleep habits is needed whether they actually sleep or not is child led, in my opinion. I appreciate this is probably not what you want to hear.
Nurseries are expensive. Overheads I wouldn't think are awfully high so I imagine there are people making a lot of money from looking after other people's young children.2018 totals:

Well, it's not going 100% (check the time), but night 2 has been much less stressful so far. Asleep after half an hour, followed by 7.5 hours, followed by a half bottle and paracetamol as she is teething. Seems calm again after 5-10 mins.
I don't think we would be responsible to allow her sleep to be 'child led' as we have allowed her to grow dependent on holding and that needs addressed.
Anyway, hopefully back to sleep soon0 -
Another skivey day off
£10 paid into savings (Zopa referral), signature updated.
I decided to sell down the funds as mentioned previously, roughly £6,000 winging its way to us once the dust settles. That will pay off something like 85% of our unsecured credit, which will mean that all repairs and renovations to date have been paid in full and that we'll own solar panels in full (currently partly on a CC).0 -
Keeping fingers crossed for your sleep training for your little one! Just another wee bit of advice, please feel free to ignore!- think carefully about continuing to give bottles as it'll just perpetuate her expectations and she'll keep looking for milk every time she wakes- I know it sounds harsh when she seems to be teething
but try just going in to pat her back and settle her without interacting and keeping the room dark. I'll shut up now!
good luck again

I agree biglass, but we can't make her go cold turkey as I've heard it compared to suddenly giving her one less meal a day! She has been cut down to 1/2 bottles from full and we'll drop this down to 1/4 bottles next week and water the following, then none0

Super middle class wine tip for anyone going to Mr M this weekend - Vinus By Paul MasClairette (Clairette Du Languedoc) is absolutely lovely for £6. It won a Decanter gold medal and is the best drop I've had in ages that didn't cost double that :money:
I may have bought 11 bottles0 -

She won't be particularly settled when teething.
I understand your point re. her growing dependent but she would grow out of that in her own time. My son still won't go back to sleep unless I lie on his bed, give him the "can't sleep" blanket and tell him a story (has to be something I've made up on the spot and not read from a book :rotfl:), it can be somewhat annoying but there will be a last time. He's six and is currently "dependent" on that if he can't sleep but it doesn't concern me because he'll grow out of it in his own time.
They won't get to uni and not be able to cope with halls because they still need a hug from Mum or Dad if woken in the night to get back to sleep.edinburgher wrote: »Super middle class wine tip for anyone going to Mr M this weekend - Vinus By Paul MasClairette (Clairette Du Languedoc) is absolutely lovely for £6.
