OS Grocery Challenge in 2026 I am sticking with a £3000 annual budget for 2026 - currently £138.39 for January and a bigger target of £300 for February, with lots to stock up on
I also Reverse Meal Plan on that thread and grow much of our own premium price fruit and veg, joining in on the grow your own in 2026 discussion thread

They won't get to uni and not be able to cope with halls because they still need a hug from Mum or Dad if woken in the night to get back to sleep.
Well, you say that, but I have a work colleague whose 24 year old still can't sleep through the night! :rotfl:0 -
At the risk of being hosted with my own petard of confidence, 'cry it out' is having some pretty fantastic results in our house.
- Night 1: 3 hours of hysterical crying, woke up the next day in a huff
- Night 2: 35 mins of whiny crying, awoke for 1/2 hour or so of lazy crying
- Night 3: 20 mins of crying, slept through the night for 11 hours
- Nap 1: less than 1 min crying

I remember sitting up in bed drinking tea and eating toast at 3am........... but it's worth it in the end. Sure I've said it before - you need to break them before they break you
