They won't get to uni and not be able to cope with halls because they still need a hug from Mum or Dad if woken in the night to get back to sleep.

Well, you say that, but I have a work colleague whose 24 year old still can't sleep through the night! :rotfl:

At the risk of being hosted with my own petard of confidence, 'cry it out' is having some pretty fantastic results in our house.
    • Night 1: 3 hours of hysterical crying, woke up the next day in a huff
    • Night 2: 35 mins of whiny crying, awoke for 1/2 hour or so of lazy crying
    • Night 3: 20 mins of crying, slept through the night for 11 hours
    • Nap 1: less than 1 min crying :)

Exciting money news! After months of chasing, my preserved Civil Service pension benefits statement has been recalculated to show 5 years of inflation adjustments. Added £15k+ to our NW

I remember sitting up in bed drinking tea and eating toast at 3am........... but it's worth it in the end. Sure I've said it before - you need to break them before they break you ;).
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

I'm sure the 24 year old doesn't want to be comforted by the parents, though.
