Thanks for that biglass - I know you're 100% right - summoning up the enegy to fix things is the hard part. I'll maybe suggest to Mrs E that we book a couple of days off in February so that we get a 4-5 day no work break to try and get things under control :)

It took us one night of controlled crying with DS to crack it, then wondered why we didn't do it sooner! Hope it works for you :)

Just one sleepless month to go then :rotfl:. It is hard, but well worth doing :).

I tried it for years ... didnt work ... our son could scream all night every night and still be awake at 5am ... I gave up eventually

he is still a night owl although he does now sleep through the day

DH used to take DS out for an hour, either in the car or in the pram, and the movement would send him off. We were lucky most of the time, it was only during teething and fevers that he would not sleep.

I must just hijack for a moment to express my frustration. Last January I set up a regular saver with HSBC online and sent DH into town to set one up the same day in branch (they have cocked up his online credentials and account profile but that is another tale) - this week, they matured. His matured 4 days before mine and with 72p more interest. Apparently my on-line application took 10 days to set up and initiate the DD, even though I did all the work and then I have been punished by loss of interest. Not happy. I know it is only 72p but that is not the point. Needless to say after reading your diary for a year I have not followed up with a second, I am trying to do slightly more savvy things this year! I hope you don't mind me venting in your diary - I don't have one. I just had to get it out of my system. Thanks... (slinks away, slightly embarrassed at the outburst) :o
