Isn't it lovely to end the week with a good financial mistake? Have discovered that my earlier MB mistake wasn't nearly as bad as I thought, I had double counted transfers and as a result, had completely forgotten about a savings account with £2500 in it!
The net result is ££££ positive, which has come as a massive relief. My mistake was still silly, but I honestly couldn't figure out why it had impacted my spreadsheets as much as it appeared to have done.
Didn't get a whole lot of work done today, but have sensibly planned for our new found wealth- £135 into our S&S ISA
- £200 into P2P lending
- £400 or so into our EF
- MB spreadsheet corrected to show proper figures
- Enough money left to carpet the spare room and for most of the cost of laminate for our bedroom
A jazzy tune for the weekend0 -
Wish I could find a spare savings account with £2500 in it!
enjoy your weekend

It's easier than you'd think! On a busy MB day, there can easily be 20-30 transfers between 4-5 savings/current accounts/betting exchanges and bookies.0 -
That's the sort of mistake I'd like to make :T

Mr E, I want to do the brined chicken recipe tomorrow. Did you use something like Maldon salt? I wondered if there was a more economical sea salt to use?
Thanks x x2004 £387k 29 years - MF March 2033:eek:

Recipe recommends kosher salt, so something like Maldon, yes. I see no reason why rock salt/cheapo supermarket sea salt wouldn't suffice as long as there doesn't appear to be too many funky additives. I wouldn't use table salt.0 -
