Late comer to this thread, read most of it over a number of days!
Are you still invested with Vanguard Life Strategy Edinburgher? I have just started recently on the 80 platform.0 -
Yes, still invested in Vanguard Life Strategy. We use the 80% fund to invest for DD and I use a mix of the 100% fund and one of their bond funds for myself.
I was also quite excited to read about their target retirement funds that are now available through some brokers, a great idea that's quite popular in the US that basically boils down to 'choose your retirement date, invest monthly, leave the rest to us'!0 -
Are you planning to hold LS for as long as possible?
Yes I saw that retirement fund, looks interesting!
I may try to get my partner to invest in this, my pension is decent enough, I put in 4%, the company puts in 6% each month.... whereas my partner only gets a matched 1% or something awful !0 -

I have my US pension pot with vanguard split into age-64 retirement date and age-59 retirement date. So far they haven't changed allocation as far as I can tell, but that's still more than 20 years away. I do like the "set it and forget it" style, though.0
