Is the £4.00 wine any good? If so, what is it and where from?

It was this one from Morris0ns and yes, it was lovely for £4. Not sure I'd pay £9 for it, I remember when it was £6 (10 years ago when Mrs E and I first met).

OMG! The sun is out! I have a barbecue! Spontacue!

Rushed to Mr M and picked up instant light charcoal, some tongs, a few beers and various foodie items.

This will sound immensely sad, but I am so ridiculously excited to be having my first barbecue in my *own* back garden :j

BBQ all wrapped up in just over an hour, missing the rain by approximately 1 minute! :D

Sausages, bargainous chorizo and various salads enjoyed greatly. Lovely to sit outside with Mrs E and discuss all the stuff she expects me to fix in the garden ;)

Hi re Axminster carpets - I got mine from here although they do not seem to have much Axminster at the moment - I saved £3,000 even with delivery to Scotland compared to local shop prices for lounge and 2 bedrooms -but maybe your source is as cheap?

Thanks re. wine, though it says £6 online? The closest Morrisons is 15 miles away from us, though Mrs K works close to one so I may tell her to pick a bottle up and we'll try it. This reminds me, a long time ago someone on here challenged me to find wine for £5 per bottle, wasn't very successful to be honest. At the time I used to drink everyday and spend a lot on wine, not even had a drink for over three weeks now.

Mrs P: You've brightened my day re. Gascoigne. :rotfl:

Ed: Not sad at all re. BBQ. :) Don't envy your upcoming garden work, though. :rotfl:
    2018 totals:

Goodness gracious - were you carpeting a castle?!

If we carpeted our *entire* house, it would come to just under £3,000 ordering direct from Axminster (underlay and carpet).

It is £6 for most people, I got lucky and found an accommodating sales clerk who couldn't ring it through the till, so put it through manually at £4 :j

Tell me about it... I think I'll need 500kg of postcrete for the new fence alone!

BBQ cleaned, tomorrow's dinner cooked, dishwasher on, time for a bath and a clean shave :)
