The betting exchange I use didn't go past 4 goals for this match, so unexpected!0

Watching Biffy Clyro at TITP. Good Lord, do they make me feel old. I remember them before they had a record deal0

That seems a bit excessive. Even taking out the hour for lunch, why are you stuck with a 45 hour week? Is the overtime that good?
We had a guy once - in the I.T. department, who stuck rigidly to his working hours. Always in by 8.30am (so I'm told; I was rarely in at such an ung*dly hour) and he left on the dot at 5pm, no matter what the crisis was. He refused all offers of overtime. His take on it was why should he accept being delayed, which would have a knock on effect on his childminder, whom he would have to pay whatever overtime he got onto her, when his employment contract clearly stated his working hours. I respected his stance.0 -

The day also stretched to a walk in the park and I've made some duck prosciutto.

I must have had your HB on my mind because I first read this as prosecco and thought ... that's unusual, must be an odd flavour!
I want to retire to the Tarbert area (close-ish to Campbelltown, I think) if softie southerners are acceptable. I'd probably provide a local service as midge fodder as I spend my life getting bitten even down here.
Watty, you can check out broadband speeds on R1ghtmove ... amazing variation across the area and great fun. The challenge is to find an on budget home you like that does have BB! Your croft idea sounds entirely sensible Ed, no need to replicate old ways when you can pioneer 21st century crofting.
Best of luck with latest application and for Mrs E with hers too, home working is sweet indeed!Stash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

Must be something in the air. My rents just bought a house too.0

It's ok, we're talking 2-3 times a month, and I make sure to take the time back. There's no formal arrangement for taking the time back in my contract, which sometimes leads to snippiness. If they try to refuse they're welcome to pay me the £25/hr that overtime will run toYour croft idea sounds entirely sensible Ed, no need to replicate old ways when you can pioneer 21st century crofting.
I find that a good daydream really helps with bad days at work, I've already figured out the 4 agricultural purposes that I'd put my land to (so that the Crofters Commission would approve the sale)My rents just bought a house too.
I think that record Sterling to Euro rates probably played a part.0 -
Although fairly backward, Devon does use sterling!!0

Urgh, a wee bit of a hangover today
Have been out to L1dl and done some light housework. Meals this week will include chicken, chorizo and butterbean stew, an Asian salad with duck breast prosciutto, spinach, carrots and pomegranate seeds and chicken katsu.
Made £20 on a risk free roulette offer and have locked in £16 profit from a free bet that I was unware that I had. Also found £85 in a bookie account last night, always a nice surprise. I was well behaved and cashed in £250 this week which has been paid into my S&S ISA. Not doing badly, have £1,000 invested in the last few months, all thanks to MB.
A friend from my 'past life' has posted lots of pictures on FB of him grinning with his new-born son. Very happy for him, because he's had his fair share of challenges over the years, but also quite conflicted because I'm a little jealous of what isn't0 -

We had chicken, chorizo and butter bean stew this week. the other half is in the freezer and the remainder is in the freezer and the left over chorizo went on the pizza this lunch time. I love chorizo.
I am a member of Facebook, but rarely use it.
I sometimes think people only post the good stuff on there, and if you read it at a time when you have reason to feel a bit low, you can get the impression others are having a really perfect life. Making you feel even worse.
But totally understand what you are saying.Early retired - 18th December 2014
