Loved the updated recipe Gallygirl.
Am seriously impressed with your gambling winnings. Am going to read up on Matched Betting. As a sideline that could be very helpful.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -
Can you point me to these betting posts?
I can't imagine this is a long-term guaranteed way of making money.... Hence the name "gambling". I tried spreadbetting a few times and lost out overall.0 -
1. It's not gambling, other people are using that terminology. Gambling, spreadbetting, technical analysis etc. are all a load of nonsense IMHO.
2. It's guaranteed if you do it right and check your figures.
3. There has been a board on the subject on MSE that started many years ago (2008?), so it's fairly sustainable.0 -
I remember loads of DWF testing the matched betting waters Ed, and very successfully too - I think particularly hypno and southern scouser used it to their advantage towards debt freedom. I seem to recall it is absolutely fail safe as long as you do your research.
By the way, I always thought you were an Edinburgh guy through and through - I will now have to read your posts in a weedgie accent;)February13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)
MND - Let's go for 2020 'cos it's got a nice ring to it:D

I don't have a Weegie accent, as I grew up in the Borders. I'm intelligible, becoming more Scottish in proportion to beer consumed.0

Anything to do with betting reminds me I really did mean to put £25 on that very pretty grey mare in the 3.15 at Doncaster :rotfl: I really don't have the right mindset
