Why does anyone under the age of 40 go on holiday these days? To relax and enjoy themselves, or to boast about their wonderful, expensive holiday? I am seriously considering deleting my Facebook account it is getting so bad. Seriously - why are the ranks of modern day Columbuses swelling so much? (i.e. bragging about something that tens of thousands of others do every year!) :rotfl:

I have never posted a photo, updated a 'status' or otherwise engaged with my digital life while on a foreign holiday, and I solemnly promise never to do so

• Ran 3-4 miles
• Had a lovely veggie breakfast at a local pub/restaurant with Mrs E
• Cleaned the fish tank
• £7.50 odds to Freedom fund
• Made £6-7 from a matched bet
• Brining a chicken, dinner is roast chicken with HM coleslaw (a Mrs E joint), corn on the cob and BBQ sauce

Extra day off tomorrow, will probably bottle some HB.

I solemnly promise never to have a Facebook account for the exact same reasons :rotfl:. My work colleagues think that I am a bit behind with the times when is comes to social networking sites as I am not a member of any. I don't think that I could keep up with all the reading and posting.

I am a member of FB, but barely use it.

These days it seems people are so busy taking photos and updating Facebook, they forget to actually enjoy the moment.

When I'm on a cruise, I never go online. I spend far to much time online when I'm at home, so a holiday is a real break, and a chance to forget about the Internet.

I belong to a cruise forum, and I like to post a cruise review when I get home. But some people like to blog from the ship. I'd rather be enjoying the holiday.

A very relaxed day off.

Woke up at 09:00, got some groceries and made myself some rolls and sausage for brunch. Sat around reading Orwell and picked up Mrs E after work for an ice cream in the park
