Sometimes it comes up as a list with everything on the left (Since changing my ID I am on the newfangled one and not sure how to change). Also when I thank a post sometimes the whole page reloads.

The only difference is that we don't have to accept the highest offer (or any offer) if they are tied up in complex chains etc.
This sounds like a good idea.Does it take less time to complete also?

More a case of 'considerably shitter at DIY than you'!0 -
You can choose to go back to the old forum - I had to, the new one seemed to take pleasure in playing tricks on me.
Can't remember where the button was, up the top somewhere I think - but I just hit 'go back to old forum style' or something and presto - the old, comfortable, nicely behaved version appears every time I log on now.0 -

Currently spending all my spare time reading about roofing and potentially attempting a 'first go' on an outbuilding belonging to my parents, all because it seems far too much money to pay to someone and if you've ever met a roofer you'd realise it can't be that difficult.

The new forum has never appeared once I've logged in, they know I couldn't deal with the new technology.2018 totals:

.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -
Replacing your own roof sounds like a surefire way to invalidate your buildings insurance0

Mr Watty has a similar view. Many years ago he bought the Readers Digest Guide to Building Skills or some such title - long since binned - looked at the pictures and said every looked "easy enough" and set about renovating his first house. We bought a house together and we did just about everything to that - although sometimes I do wish he had had an outbuilding or two to practice on
Glad to hear I'm not the only one on here.
For easier jobs I take the if I can see how it comes apart, I can see how it goes together approach.edinburgher wrote: »Replacing your own roof sounds like a surefire way to invalidate your buildings insurance
