50g of porridge with 2 medium egg whites is something like 14g of protein for 170 calories - what else is that filling? Anyway, it's just like creamy porridge :beer:0 -

Tilly x x- Take 50g of finest, cheapest porridge oats (don't use fancy diamond cut oats picked by flower wearing virgins on the first full moon of the quarter, we're using a microwave for this)!
- Bung in roughly 1 1/2 times the weight of the oats in water.
- Microwave on full power for one minute. Stir and add enough water to maintain a smooth consistency.
- Microwave on full power for one minute. Stir and add a little more water (smooth not runny).
- Stir in two free range egg whites (2/3 of the protein of the eggs for essentially no fat), microwave on full power for a final minute.

Tastes much nicer when done like this:
porridge oats
spoonful of sugar
lashings of semi skimmed milk
Serve with a big pouring of double cream (single will do at a push) and a spoonful of Demerara sprinkled over the top

Porridge is one of those few foods that should be treated like fuel.
In any case, fancy porridge would feature milk, cream, raisins, pumpkin seeds, cinammon and maple syrup.0 -
Morning Mr E, I definitely fancy porridge with cream and maple syrup etc rather than egg white :rotfl::rotfl:
