Oh dear another classic post started by london tiger.
This.
Read enough motoring related posts by LondonTiger to suggest this chap is clueless regarding driving and cars in general. To always find oneself in scrapes and situations, perhaps it is worth looking at the constant in these equations.
No offence OP.

The OP seems to be conspicuous in his absence in this thread.0

Slow moving lorry in lane 1 he said... he was probably overtaking the lorry himself.
But he also said THE overtaking lane then AGAIN to a slow moving lorry in lane 1.
That does not mean to say he (the OP) was overtaking THE lorry in lane 1 to me.PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. You should always obtain face to face professional advice before taking any action.0 -

Two wrongs don't make a right ya know.
Flashing lights at the hogger, circling the hogger is equally wrong. And of course would be contravening the highway code.
How?
If I come across one, I am normally in lane 1 to start with. When I get level (in lane 1) with the 'offending' vehicle, I first equal my speed to it then after a few seconds, I will drop back to give me at about 3 car lengths before pulling out behind the 'offender'. If he/she dosn't then move over into the correct lane (1), i will then pull into lane 3 (the other overtaking lane) and then overtake. Once I have passed the 'offending' vehicle, I will then indicate to pull back into lane 2 (leaving at least a 3 car-gap) before finally moving back into the correct driving lane (1). This is all assuming that we are on a 3-lane motorway and the middle-lane hogger is travelling below the speed limit.
How is that "contravening the highway code"?PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. You should always obtain face to face professional advice before taking any action.0 -

I haven't replied because I'm sick of the abuse. Lorry is limited at 60mph. I'm doing 70 so I was in the middle lane.
To 90% of the idiots above that makes me a middle lane hogger.
The fact that the other car was doing 80+ and the lane 3 was completely empty and could carry on driving on it for 5 miles without any issues, yet decided to cut in immediately in front of me is not a problem at all.
!!!! you all0
