idiot motorway overtakers who cut in with just 2 car lengths gap

I use the M25 10 or 15 times a year, always when it is busy and this always happens at J15 where drivers in Audis and Mercs do this on their way to the airport usually at least 3 cars cut in front of me and others. Look like pilots or other uniform staff!0

I dont think anyone disputes that it happens.
It shouldnt make you panic though0 -
I totally agree, most drivers who are "considered" by others to be dangerous are usually totally focused on what they are doing and much better drivers than the sheep who dawdle along looking at the countryside, talking, texting, looking at and playing with their hair in the mirror etc. etc.
You can be focused on what you're doing and still not drive like a !!!!!!!!.What will your verse be?

It happens on every motorway every day. Its just modern motoring. Always someone in more of a rush than yourself or think of themselves better than you and you must give way to them.
When you get a call at 3am saying your FIL has pulled the emergency cord and is not responding then i try to get there ASAP. So i will break the speed limit. But when approaching another vehicle i am anticipating everything they may do.
I see it as I am the one in the wrong so give them the right of way. I wont harass them for wanting the lane im in and being slower.
I wont speed because im late for work etc.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
I try and "educate" middle lane hoggers by using the "orbiting" manoeuvre. But I don't cut them up... i leave at least 2 car-lengths before pulling back into lane 1.
Same but sometimes with a cheeky flash of the headlights as I'm moving out. :rotfl:What will your verse be?

The middle lane and outside lane are both overtaking lanes
Slow moving lorry in lane 1 he said... he was probably overtaking the lorry himself. What will your verse be?

I experienced this situation on the A14 some months ago, but the driver inserting his car into a tiny gap did it behind me. The driver of the vehicle that had been immediately behind me and already too close to me before this happened, i.e. the one being cut up, chose not to reduce speed, so the guy now behind me in the gap 4 feet longer than his car proceeded to flash his lights furiously at me whilst mouthing what looked (via my rear view mirror) like rude words, motioning with one arm for me to move forwards! A few seconds later, we passed an exit slip, once the fool realised he was about to miss his exit he shot off to the left up the slip almost taking out another car already on it!0

Was that idiot driving a white Toyota IQ?
If so, :wave:0
