It was a surprise when Experian informed me that my rating had dropped. Investigation showed that I had a CCJ against me for an unpaid parking ticket that I never knew existed. How is it possible that this could be allowed to go to court without my knowledge? Don't these companies have to notify us by law? Can I contest? Are there any options available to me now?0

Are there any options available to me now? There are no options (or help) available to you on this thread, you need to start a new thread of your own. Please do that and help will arrive. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Hi Everyone, I m new and having read as much as I could in an afternoon about this subject, I don't feel any the wiser - so here goes.
Last week I received a Letter of Claim for "dcb legal"
The client is "Cp Plus Ltd T/a Groupnexus"
The claim is for four instances of parking (all at motorway service stations (one in Scotland)) totalling £674.00
The basis of the claim is that I parked on private land, breached a contract as displayed on that land,
The client has issued separate PCN's to me and I am liable as the keeper or Driver
The amount of claim is £674.00 which includes parking charges and costs (per charge)
The letter states I have to pay immediately to prevent further action
In a section called "next steps" I'm advised to pay in full within 30 days (of the letter) or acknowledge the letter (to give me a further 30 days to discuss the debt.)
I also received with the letter an information sheet, which includes a PCN schedule as follows
20/08/2015 - MOTO Stirling - Vehicle remained
20/06/2015 - MOTO Southwaite - Vehicle remained
03/07/2015 - Roadchef Clacket - Vehicle remained
02/10/2014 - Roadchef Chester - Vehicle remained.
I have not responded to any issued VPN's, notices or letters - In this instance, what would be a logical next step?0 -

Hi Just a bit advice really. My daughter got a FPN from Euro Car Parks after stopping for 35 mins (not parked), waiting for her friend. She appealed this fine, which was rejected by Euro Car Parks and then appealed to POPLA which also failed. To make matter worse the POPLA email went to her SPAM folder and she missed it (that's kids for you)? Anyway cutting a story short she has now got letters from a debt recovery firm who are asking for £160, because she has failed to pay on time. What does she do? Guess she will have to pay but the cost seems pure extortion?? some sound advice would be very much appreciated. Many thanks in advance0
