    Hi

Is it safe to access UKPC photos on the website before making an appeal? Would they have track of this information?

    Thanks

Hi I got a parking notice from Britannia 2 years + ago they sent me a parking charge . I explained I was eating at the restaurant , Frankie & Bennys who said they would pay my parking as I was eating there they replied that this was not the case and I needed to pay £100 unfortunately the restaurant has closed and no one can confirm this was said over the phone . I replied that In any case I was parked in a disabled spot as I am a blue card holder and that nowhere else in Chelmsford do I need to pay for parking in a marked disabled place . Any way they sent my ticket of to some debt collectors, BW Legal, who proceeded to harass me with claims of , now £160, I informed them of my position and said I would happily see them in court . Over the next 18 months they continued to send me stuff demanding that I tell them my financial position and every time I emailed them back that if they wanted to get the money they would need to take me to court and prove their losses . I arrived home fro a holiday in Canada on the 13th of May to find a letter n my doorstep telling me that I had a CCJ against me taken out in a court in Northampton on the 12 th. I had had no previous warning that they were even going to court . The cost was now £248.90. Being the person I am I immediately contacted the court to have the decision set aside at a cost of £255 . I am awaiting my new court date in Chelmsford where I live and where the parking took place.
During this whole time the BW Legal bullies have been threatening me with a loss of my good credit reference , mine was almost perfect . and they have now ., even when I have paid to set aside the verdict screwed my almost perfect credit score to such an extent that one of my credit cards has reduced my monthly maximum , this on a card I have held for years and pay of every month in full and always have, they were nice enough to tell me of the cut whilst I was in Slovakia on , yea another, holiday, luckily I have another card , Barclaycard Platinum, thanks for the advice Martin, that I use for travel .
Mostly my defense relies on the wording of the parking notice that says anyone parking in the disabled space without displaying a blue badge will be fined . I take that to mean that blue badge holders will not be fined so they are free to park free of charge .
so my question is what do you think and have I any other ways in which to fight them.
    regards Jack

  • Hello,

it is my first time posting, hopefully i'm in the right section.

i received a notice about a parking in private land. i may have parked there, but can i decline to pay on the ground the offence been committed was back i end April 2019.

my understanding there is a set limit when a notice can be served to the keeper of the car ? not sure how long though, and if this is right will this be sufficient ground to appeal this pcn charge

your help will be much appreciated.

    Hi,
I have appealed my parking fine using the letter template stating that I will not be disclosing the driver of the vehicle. The company have now replied asking me to name the driver. Do I have to do this?
In the letter template it states that I will not be responding to anything unless my questions have been answered but they have not answered any of the questions I have asked.
    What should I do?

    Kind regards
    Clare
