Hi Martin, so sorry he's not home yet. I was going to suggest the vacuum cleaning tip that was suggested by shrike. I'm keeping everything crossed he's home soon xx0

I've found him!!!! Literally 20 minutes ago, decided on one last late night search... he appeared on the pathway from the new barns car park, 40 metres from the house.. and followed me back inside. He's got a couple of nasty looking scratches on his face, but he's not hungry so someone must have been feeding him.. I'm so relieved he's home - thanks to everyone for their support and suggestions!!!0

Martin, I have followed your thread but never posted until now. I'm so pleased Derek is home! Thank you for letting us all know! You must be so relieved? Hopefully Derek will stay closer to home from now?0

Relieved doesn't even cover it!Am so pleased he's home!! Bet you've not let him out of your sight since!
I had to work today but OH kept an eye on him. He does look like he's feeling pretty sorry for himself, those scratches on his face must be very sore. He's been cuddly a couple of times apparently, but now he's taken himself off under the spare bed to rest, been there a couple of hours now. Hardly eaten anything too0 -
can you bathe the scratches with salt water and cotton wool ball? if they are looking rather red and inflamed he could need a trip to the vet for an anti b jab before an abscess develops.Cats don't have owners - they have staff!!DFW Long Hauler Supporter No 1500

Glad he is back, he is most probably feeling a bit sorry for himself.Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)0

Oh that's amazing, so pleased to hear this good news! Hope he's learnt his lesson that he's better off at home and doesn't go AWOL again!
Does he need a trip to the vets? Fight wounds can be really nasty and quickly get infected.0 -
Hi all,
I've booked an appointment at the vet tomorrow after work...
Now I just need to work out how the hell to get him in his carry box!!!0 -
