Gaffer tape
Bet he is back just as you stick the last one up!
Don't forget to ask neighbours to check sheds and garages, one of my nosy cats was locked in the neighbours house (fortunately only while the owner was at work)Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)0 -
Still no sign. First time he's ever not come home at night.
Distraught0 -
Oh martin, I feel for you
I bet he'll be back for a massive sleep soon, he'll wander in like he owns the place (which he pretty much does if he's anything like my cat).
Have everything crossed he's home soon x.0 -
My cat disappeared once, he didn't come home for his dinner and was gone all night. I was so worried I could hardly sleep. It turned out he had got locked inside a neighbours shed - is there anywhere near where you live where he could have got shut in?0
-
Yeah some ppl have sheds, can't hear any miaowing, will knock on some doors this eve when people are more likely to be home :-( and put posters up0

Any news Martin? Fingers crossed he's home now, and sat curled up on your knee x0
-
Sadly not
I've just knocked on every door on our estate, took two hours, gave them all my little flyer with his pic. Several people knew him, some say they saw him yesterday, one woman said he was in her back garden fighting another cat :-/ we've put up posters on lamp posts, gonna call local vets tomorrow... Not sure what else we can do

its May Martin - female cats have been in season since last month usually, and even though he has been 'done' - that smell of 'females ready to mate' could still be enticing him. We didn't see much of first cat Timmy in spring - he would be sat in some strangers garden because their female cat was in season (he didn't seem to realise he couldn't actually father any 'kitts'). its a problem if other entire males are enticed too - fights break out. he did come home when hungry though.
and its not just cats in immediate streets - they can smell cats in season up to a mile away.0 -
You can take some comfort in him being seen since going missing, Martin.
It does beg the question of where he's eating though. Maybe he's found a new home? Hopefully not.
I have read of people putting the vacuum cleaner dust around the outside of the house to re-inforce the home's scent to help them find their way back. And, of course, your walking about will leave a scent trail for him to follow back home. Best wishes.0
