Hi Martin
Long time, no hear !
I haven't tried it yet, but a woman I know gets chicken livers from Sainsburys, clips them into small pieces with scissors and feeds her cats them raw and they love them. Have tried Madame with raw chicken and pork and she wont eat it.
However I cannot get a special fried rice from the chippy without her diving on me and not letting me eat it, unless she has the 4 king prawns out of it, ripped up and in her dinner bowl. Either that or the ham out of my butty !
BTW, Have you had any presents yet? The other morning was bedlam, she brought in either a very large mouse, or a baby rat alive, who then decided to put up a fight and screamed the place down ! My trusty fresh soup container and piece of cardboard came into action and walking across the road in the pouring rain at 5.15am, just doesn't make you feel great. By the time I got backand dried off, she was zonko on my bed and attacked me when I tried to get back in !
Cats ! what did I let myself in for !0 -
Nope no presents so far, touch wood!!!
I don't know what I'd do!
Bit edgy right now, he's not come home since 5pm, I know it's not that long but he's almost always home by now, and the thought that it's Halloween is making it worse, fireworks going off and scary people all over the place...
Just wish I could be a relaxed cat-owner0 -

I know how you feel Martin.
Tibsey doesn't like the bangs, last year she went into hiding for hours, tonight she just lay on her cushion, she looked scared but didn't move. I lock the cat flap from around 5 ish until 11 pm, and barricade it up with the bin, as she can force it open, but she didn't seem to want to go out tonight anyway.
Hope Degsy got home ok and is cool. Try and get a Feliway diffuser tomorrow ( Today ?) and plug it in the room he uses most. It does sem to chill her out a bit.
Endless treats also works !0 -
I found him in the road outside the house eventually and he bounded inside with me...I'm a silly old fool!
He's not at all nervy inside the house these days, I don't actually know how he'll react to fireworks yet, I've got that surprise to come...0 -
Well it's been rather a long time since I posted any updates, Derek comes and goes, but I think he might be a bit of a bully..! He often comes home with little scrutches, there was me thinking my poor Derek's being picked on, but twice now I've seen him actively assaulting other cats! I was mortified, I don't want my cat to be the local thug!
He's come home tonight with a sizeable scratch on the back of his neck (annoyingly right where you apply flea treatment!)
What do you do when your cat thinks he's Phil Mitchell??0 -
