My two cats share a pouch in the morning and one at night, but have dry food out all day. They definitely aren't under fed, and feeding them 3-4 sachets a day each would just be way too expensive!0 -
Our two cats only have 1/2 a pouch each, morning & evening with some biscuits as well. They'd be monster fat cats with 3-4 pouches. I'm sure they think they need that many though0

Our 9 cats have 6 tins between them every day, so around 2/3 tin each. In winter it goes up to 8 tins a day. We don't put biscuits down as one old boy has kidney problems, but we do dish out Dreamies on occasion."Save £12k in 2019" #120 - £100,699.57/£100,0000

I give Barnes one small sheba pouch for his lunch and one large one at night for his supper - and dry food is available all day and night. as long as he has dry food available he isn't going to starve! he sounds like he is starting to want to 'explore'.0

Thank you for letting us know how Derek is getting on. Sounds like he's found a wonderful new slave/owner.
If Derek is still nervous, you might have to delay hoovering for a little while. Our cat hates the hoover, and regressed a little bit when we used it the week after he first came home. Derek sounds like he's getting used to his new home, and realising there's nothing to be scared of!
Best wishes !Whoops there goes another year, there goes another pint of :beer:0 -
Hmmm well I've literally not seen him all day! Well since I got home at 4:30 anyway. Five hours under a painting, this cat has an incredibly high boredom threshold, how do they do it?!? Really hoping he'll come for another living room explore later on...0

Martin - hate to tell you this, but..............the average cat can, and does, sleep for 16 hours a day!
5 hours is nothing but a short nap! lol.
fascinating critters aren't they? cant imagine how they remain so fit and athletic..................I would try it myself but I really don't think I can sleep that long!0 -
Put a newspaper on the floor or table and start reading. It's guaranteed in my house that one of the cats will appear and sit on it.0

He's emerged into the lounge to eat the tuna, yay! He's so funny, he eats voraciously and every few seconds looks up sharply at me and glares, like he's saying "you better not be looking at me!" When he does that I try the narrowing my eyes thing or close them completely.0
