Sorry but nope. One of mine, Fred - does not like anything dry. Not even Dreamies....
BUT he will KILL for a raw chicken wing.. hint hint0 -
He'll be fine, honestly. He just needs time. I would be inclined to pretend he isn't there and he will come out when he's ready.
This ^^^^
He'll come out when he's ready.
I have 2 furry critters, my friends took them for a week while I was on holiday. Little lady is the nosiest, friendliest cat ever and was instantly investigating and cuddling my friends. Boy cat squeezed under the sofa and hid for most of the week!The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Lily goes nuts for Felix Goody Bag treats (so much so they've totally replaced the other brand I was giving her) but try and give her one while she's in the cat carrier or at the Vets and no dice!0

Took one of my cats 6 weeks to stop hiding and come out properly after I had given her a home, her owner was moving into a private rented flat and wasnt allowed to take his two cats with him, moving can be a big upheaval for cats, particularly if they are sensitive, just give him time, he will come round.
The cat in question above now sits on my shoulder when Im in bed and she's still very quiet, but shes absolutely fine, just takes some cats a while to get used to their new home and owner.0 -
Cats just differ - one of our rescues was on our laps as soon as we opened the carrier, but another escaped and lived in the garden for 6 months before deciding we weren't cat-killers after all. She's currently upside-down in the laundry. Your boy will come right in his own time"Save £12k in 2019" #120 - £100,699.57/£100,0000

Derek's emerged!!!!! I'm literally breathless with excitement! He crept out, sniffed around the area near the TV which contains a box with his blanket in, and a little cat tunnel, oh and his scratching post, then he had a good scratch on the post! Then he had a lie down on the base of the post, now he's sniffing around the floor in front of the TV... I'm trembling...0

He's eating his wet food! I'm so so happy right now0

I'm ridiculously excited for you and Derek (who will always be Derek Martin in my head now
)
It's great when they start settling in. Soon you won't be able to remember what it was like when he wasn't in charge of the whole house.0 -
Thank you! He's just used his litter tray and now he's sitting there just staring around, looking at us, at his toys... I feel genuinely honoured that this timid little animal is showing himself to us...
He's just climbed into the house I made for him by sellotaping two cardboard boxes together and putting his duvet from the cattery in there :-)))0
