He is not being reasonable, he said he will pay for a used tire but he hasn't. He says he will replace the windscreen with a heated one but he hasn't. If I go to the small claims court I know I can win on the heated windscreen. If he says he will fix the car he must. He can say what he likes he needs to put it into action. Unless he does that my only option is to go to court.

You discovered the problems 5 days ago - 3 working days and your acting like this! You're talking like you reported the problem months ago!
I had a 10year old ford fiesta and it didn't have these problems. So age doesnt mean a thing.
If you think age 'doesn't mean a thing' then frankly you are kidding yourself! Quite simply you don't expect for a 6 year old car to have the same number of problems as a 1 year old car!

For all you know the 10 year old one had the same issues at some point and was repaired by previous owner. The 10 year old one will be what a mk3 or 4? Where as the 06 plate what, mk 5/6? Something like that. Different cars though.
Good thing I know where he lives.
    Oh, how scary for him!

    So basically, your issues are:

    - steering isn't as light as you hoped
    - steering wheel off center
    - heated screen not working
    - spare tyre no good

So wheel alignment and tracking, new tyre and windscreen. All pretty simplistic things really. The spare you're on dodgy grounds with anyway - should have inspected the car before buying. Wheel alignment can be apportioned to wear and tear and should have been spotted during the test drive.
Not sure which of these points would make the car unroadworthy - I suppose if spare tyre is below legal limit that would make it fail on MOT but taking it out would solve that one in the eyes of a tester.

Before getting exited with your keyboard and start writing threatening letters, i'd suggest you leave it a few days to cool down then look at the situation again with a less emotive and more objective perspective.

I've already sent the car to his garage man, Vince for the steering to be repaired. He just did the tracking made no difference. He told me his cousins sister, and mother's aunt have been using the garage for years so they are great. I know for sure the garage did not do anything. I am not complaining about the steering being heavy, as my old 2003 mk6 ford fiesta was the same heavy. But this car's steering does not go back to the centre it just juddering.

And the tire on the vehicle isn't safe, there is a large bugle, so now i have to buy 2 new tires one for the spare and one for the front tire. The problem with the spare tire is it a different size to the rest of the tires on the car.

I will take the car to a proper garage and they can find out the problem. I will then write to him letting him know the problem with the car. And request him to fix it with 14 days to do so, if not i will have to go to the small claims court.

He told me "you know where I live, so i must fix the car if there are any problems". The problem with this guy is he goes on how he wants to help me with the car yet he hasn't done anything.

The only thing I have 100% ground on him to fix is the front heated windscreen which doesn't work, yet he kept going on about how amazing the car is with its front heated windscreen.

Before you waste any more money, take it back to the trader and tell him exactly what is wrong with it and the remedy you expect.
If you don't, once you have fixed the faults, you will just be wasting more money and energy taking him through the courts as it will be just your word against his.

I have decided to write a formal letter to the trader, asking him to fix the problems with the car or I will see him in the county court.

Lets see his response. Just found out the Radio doesn't even work properly too!

Whilst I sympathise with how frustrating it must be to discover all these niggles on your recently purchased car, you come across as a bit of a petulant brat about the whole thing.

If your foot stamping, toys out the pram attitude on here translates into real life I'm not surprised the dealer isnt falling over himself to help

If you're as easy to take for a ride as you come over, I'd be amazed if you ever manage to anything done for you, or maybe you're another one that takes any cr*p given them, and counts themselves lucky for even that?

There is a difference between standing up for your rights and complaining in a forthriight manner and acting like a petulant child.

I don't think not behaving like a mouthy chav will encourage anyone to have your trousers down.
What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?

Sorry, are you equating not acting like a petulant child with being a push over?

I just need to know so I can decide how seriously to take you in future.

Well, based on your posts, I reckon you qualify as an opinion well worth ignoring, so I can't really gives a rats a*s what you decide. And to answer your question, I'm equating you with having your pants down every time.

High praise indeed given the standard of your contribution in this very thread.

And as for imagining a bloke with his pants down on a regular basis - I think you might be on the wrong forum for that kind of chat mate
