Remember all the waste of parliamentary time over fox hunting some years ago ? There were two wars on at the time.

I think it is important. They used a mechanism designed for cross-community matters to block something that is party political. It's clear misuse of the nonsense system that we have in place, and as far as I can make out does not reflect the views of the public at large.

Unionist voters all need to realise that our representatives have ceased to represent. Their only concern seems to be to maintain tension.

Well the south is about to get a referendum on this so then we'll have some idea of what Catholics think of gay marriage. What are the chances of it being no different from the free paisleyterians?

No it was the gay marriage issue recently, the DUP tabled a 'petition of concern'. It didn't matter in the end up as the vote failed but if the vote had passed, the DUP would have tried to block it anyway.

These days my views seem to be going with a party that historically had paramilitry links .Because of these historical links I simply couldn't vote for them.

So that rules out SF, DUP, PUP and Ulster Unionist. The only major parties without paramilitary roots or links (at various times) are SDLP and Alliance.
