Please enlighten us? I would have thought a Non-Denominational party not labelled as pro or anti union would be appealing to quite a few more forward thinking people !!

We have the Alliance for that and besides this party presented itself as holier than thou, they then shafted their deputy leader and now we have the 'accusations' about Basil which are doing the rounds at present.

Are these the revelations doing the rounds that Basil has "arms like an octopus"? If true it's very sad yet another male in a position of responsibility abusing his power.

Forward thinking people in Northern Ireland are few and far bewteen.

Most people can't bring themselves to vote outside the traditional unionist/nationlist options

Yes the "Basil the Octopus" label could be more damaging than changing the NI21 label.

Missed that, just read it there on BBC Website.

Funny how when you look at all the parties here. Sinn Fein seem to be the only ones that can reasonably hold it all together and even when there is a disagreement between colleagues, it doesn't tend to get aired in public........ too many big ego's in NI Politics and not enough "true leaders"....

Sinn Fein are fantastic in terms of internal discipline and getting their voters out etc.

Basil is alleged to have had six internal complaints lodged against him by NI21 members in terms of bullying and sexual harassemnt. The complaints were submitted to the deputy leader John McCallister but it is unclear if any action was taken.

Early reports are suggesting McCallister has left NI21.

They have even managed to resurrect deceased voters a few times:rotfl:

"Vote early, Vote often" as Gerry (I haven't gone away) Adams is know to chant :rotfl:

Don't get me wrong the Orange side of the divide are no better :o They are all a bunch of overpaid gas bags who couldn't get a proper job if they had too. But the large majority of the green side will always vote green and the orange side likewise due to the fear element instilled in us by them :o
I am trying, honest;) very trying according to my dear OH:rotfl:
