Dream house, but then there's the neighbour

Will you be happy to go see her when the postman drops parcels at her house? Hear her voice over the fence? Bump into her in the morning on your way to work? If you think you can forget the past and move on then go ahead and enjoy your new house. But if it makes your life a misery, it is not worth it. I like the idea of telling her beforehand to see what her reaction is.0

The one thing many parents seem to like to do is complain and moan. No doubt some heads develop a tough skin when dealing with others. Our local head was exactly the same, and many parents have stories about the time they went toe-to-toe with Mrs X. Funny thing is, since she left and was replaced by a more conciliatory type, the OFSTED report had gone down a level.
I agree with the person who suggested getting in touch to ask about the neighbourhood. See how it goes from there. You might just make an unlikely friendship.Been away for a while.0
