I thought it signalled an influx of attention deficients unable to use a search function but hey ho.

Completely idiotic reply. But coming from someone who says 'hey ho' I'm not surprised. You're not David Brent are you? Sorry, but many subjects regarding the housing market have already been covered at some point. Should we never start new threads - just search the archives and add to those?

put your handbag down Danny, did I say don't start any new threads? Or did I say before starting another HPC thread, find the last one? If it's a new question then start a thread. HPC threads are the same discussion again and again, but maybe that suits your attention span.

It might get on some peoples' nerves reading more threads about house prices, but lets face it, people are interested in the topic. When i came back to this board earlier today, I was quite surprised that there hardly seemed to be any threads about it!

If you look at a well known news site, you can see the most popular articles being read are on house prices at the moment.

If you restrict what people WANT to talk about, they simply won't hang around here anymore.

No-one knows for sure if/what/when will happen, but for some, like me, having a lively debate about the issues surrounding house prices, can help people to make decisions.

Of course I could look back through the archives, but I'd rather contribute to a thread and get feedback, rather than just reading what other people have written.

As opposed to the 'woooo, I finally got my keys' threads? or 'I'm thinking of buying a house to rent out' threads?

It's Friday... I can't be bothered to argue :j  Hey Ho!

I'm not saying no HPC threads, I'm trying to suggest we impose a bit of self-restraint & not clog up the board with them.

While I'm on the subject - it would be good if we could try to avoid turning non-HPC threads into HPC threads.
"Mrs. Pench, you've won the car contest, would you like a triumph spitfire or 3000 in cash?" He smiled.
Mrs. Pench took the money. "What will you do with it all? Not that it's any of my business," he giggled.
"I think I'll become an alcoholic," said Betty.

I agree completely regarding there being too many HPC threads. The same things get said on each thread. I am all for discussion on these matters but it gets repetitive. I also thinks it gets in the way of the very good advice that is given on these boards when people have an agenda to push.

I said it weeks ago, time for the House buying, renting, selling and prices to get a HPC sub-board.

The credit card board has one for stoozing, we want equality.
Well life is harsh, hug me don't reject me.
