Dry but grey here, it has rained overnight though. Me and DH have a 37 mile bike ride planned, 6 miles of it are off road on some hard trails and the last 3 miles home are up a big hill. Am really looking forward to it. Whilst out there will be coffee, cake and lunch. This is our first day in 10 years on our own (kids are camping) so it is a bit of an indulgent day for us, later there will be hm curry, sides and wine.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Dolly, hope you have a lovely bike ride! Sounds daunting to me!
Caeraugirl, when I used to run (many many moons ago!), I was always more of a foul weather runner, especially if it involved mud! Even now, reading your post made me think 'oooh, fun!' and twitch to get out there! Hope you got out for some of it. A quick w/o if you can't get out: 12 mins of as many rounds as possible of: 10 high knees then belly down on the floor, hands off the floor, power up. If you still have energy left, 10 mins of burpees (WITH press up).
Eyebright, it sounds like MFP is going to be your best friend!
blue_mango - are you back off the sugar? I've just had clean pancakes (2 eggs, 100g cott ch, 50 g oats, cinnamon - zap it all and dry fry) with rasps and cream - scrummy!
tori - just reading about your exercise routine makes me need a sit down! I don't know how you do it!
I'm enjoying cycling to work on a Thursday - but suspect I may be a more fair-weather cyclist...! Am planning what I need to maintain it through the dark - and possible inclement - months.
Enjoy the weekend!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Yay managed to get in 35mins round and round our street - boring running but a run's a run!
Thanks Dolly and Applemuncher for support. Normally I prefer running in the rain but a bit wary about lightening, especially as normal route is tree lined, and rain was SO heavy it looked like it would hurt! And Applemuncher, felt tired just reading your workout suggestion lol! Will keep in in mind if scuppered again.#21 Save £12k in 2025 £12577.35/£20000

Been having bacon egg toasies for brekki, too much icecream, and a lemon cream cake for ahem! Sharing lol. Fighting over fruit pastilles in the car too:j

Well it must do something because despite having done no exercise in 10 days I'm down 3 pounds this week!
I've bought one of Davina's workout DVDs so hopefully I can do that a few times this week.
Food festival in town today so lots of treats - back on the wagon tomorrow!
Hope everyone has a good week.......0 -
Well done alba!
Welcome back aggy - I was wondering where you had disappeared to!
tori - the pancake mix makes a LOT, but it is 1 portion, so no sharing!
Having not exercised all weekend, and not done very many steps either, i decided to start well today. I'm up at 6, waking dd at 6.30, so not a lot of time. Quick warm up and 10 minutes of burpees - proper ones with press up, of course! Managed 54. :j And we are now eating breakfast in front of Peppa Pig. Perfect!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
AM, I don't know how you do it, I hate burpees with a passion!
Day off work today, was supposed to have family visiting this week, but they aren't coming now. Kept the days off though, as it's quite nice to have a free day all to myself! It's quite nice here, so I'm thinking of going for a run down and along the seafront before it gets too hot and busy. Also need to do lots of ironing and cleaning round the house boo!
I've had quite a reasonable weekend and fingers crossed, I seem to have my unhealthy snacking under control. I've kept under my 50g of sugar target for the last 2 days. Had a lovely pinto bean stew made with pork hock for dinner last night, really filling and nutritious.
Determined to have a really good week this week. Will probably do my next monthly weigh in on Friday 03/10, so really need to make the next couple of weeks count!0
