    Morning all.

Eyebright try doing some more core moves like superman https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cc6UVRS7PW4 and with target your shoulders with weights bent over rows and seated flys are great for this.

Been out of the gym this weekend with some jobs to do at home also got another room painted (this house feels like the forth bridge) off out to the the Rumps (Din Pentir) today the walk is quite a workout in itself, some sea air will be a welcome relief after being stuck indoors painting yesterday.

    Have a great day everyone.

I wanna be in the room where it happens
  • Another workout under my belt for the month: 12 mins of 10 burpees + 10 pistol squats.I managed 5 rounds + 2 burpees. Ooph!

I caved in and munched on sugary stuff yesterday afternoon, after 12 days of not having it. Unsurprisingly, I felt really bleurgh afterwards! Ah well, back to sugar-freedom today!

tori - that walk sounds lovely.

Well done on the workout Eyebright. For theback - do you have access to a pull up bar? Doing negative reps, where you jump up then lower yourself slowly, are good. Or weighted squats, where you need more core control.

Hello HDK! best you were stunning at the wedding. You are so near your goal - what will you do next?

blue_mango - how's life in your sugar free corner of the world?

Fmess - has your mojo returned? Maybe try setting yourself small - and easily attainable goals - to boost it?

    Have a great Sunday x

Eyebright - pulldowns are very good for toning the back as is the rowing machine which you are already doing, and like tori says bent over rows also the muscles at either side of your spine are worked when you run and cycle so don't worry too much you will already be working those areas.

Me and DH cycled yesterday, we tried out our new base layers (I had already tried mine on a cold morning during the week) they are fabulous and I want to wear mine full time. It is like a second skin but looks flattering and feels supportive I could feel the wind hitting me but wasn't cold or hot.

I used some paypal money from selling kids clothes to buy us each a morf. It is a fleece tube you can wear around your neck, over your chin, as a balaclava or a beanie and lots of other ways, it is thin enough to fit under our helmets so this should keep us warm in those areas on the bike in winter.

Today will be a 5k run with a couple of steady hills.

Thanks for all the replies everybody! Tori, I wil check out that link you sent me later.

The gym does have a bar so I can do some controlled pull downs, and I will start incorporating some of the other suggestions too. Good to know Dolly, that some of the exercises I'm doing already will be helping tone that area!

We had a BBQ yesterday, and whilst I could have really pigged out, but didn't, it could still have been a better day! I've got lots of salady bits LO though, and quite a lot of meat, so for the next few days it will be salads for dinner! Think I've finally got fed up of eating cr!p, my body is actually craving good foods now, which will make life easier!

I really want to look nice in the family Christmas photo's this year, not a fat frump, so need to keep this thought in mind when I want to have a binge on rubbish!

I've got that horrible second day soreness today, after Friday's epic work out. Will a slightly more gentle workout help ease the soreness or make it worse does anyone know?
  • Hello all,

Sounds like lots of hard work going on!
I've been doing ok foodwise and lost another pound this week. I did pretty well for exercise last week as well but have stuttered again - I need to move 250 miles for work so in a mad rush to sell my house. I'm counting cleaning, sorting and decorating as cardio!

I think all her ZWOW ones are 'follow along' ones, but I downloaded all of them so I'm not dependant on t'internet when I work out. I also have the workout details written down, so I can choose which to do. This saves me time as I know what the exercises are and what - if any - gear I need. And roughly how long it'll take me.

I've probably done her first 40, and LOVE them all! Some are with weights, some are bodyweight.

A si ple one that dates from her Bodyrock days is 12 mins of: 10 burpee (with press up) and 10 pistol squat. AMRAP. A leg-killer!

Sorry I haven't actually answered your question!

tori - yay! Well done :T.
