I weighed in on Monday (in Boots - no scales at home) and I'd lost 1lb. It's a start...I'm going to weigh every Monday at least until Christmas to keep a check on myself.
I'm a little distracted as DS and DD1 are both going to college at the weekend. So this week is a lot of collecting stuff up and working out what they'll need etc.
But as from next Monday I can start properly and try to lose my 12lbs for Christmas!
VJsmum - cream on porridge is lovely (didn't need the salt) so I'll be doing that from now on!
August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.

I was too tired to check in yesterday evening after the gym, but yesterday was a slightly better day, and I'm hoping to make today even better!

I still indulged yesterday, even though I wasn't hungry, so that's an area I will continue to work on, but it wasn't as bad. 2 chocs from a tub of celebrations, and a small(ish) chunk of chocolate cake. Had too big a portion of carbs with my evening meal post gym too!

My aim this week, is to record what I eat with a view to looking for what processed foods I eat, and how I can differ these choices to less processed/lower in sugar and salt alternatives. Already realised I have Belvita biscuits every morning! Maybe switch my breakfast choices, add in a hard boiled egg for extra protein to make me feel fuller?

Well done on your run CG! That's fantastic :T

    Morning all

Well done Franby on the weightloss :)
    Great Run CG

Insanity was outside last night, good job too as the heat half killed me, woken up for a second day pickled with urticaria (hives) for some reason, blinking immune system on the blink again but my body will have to come up with something else if it wants to stop me, Kettle bells tonight :D

    Food.

    Wholemeal toast, butter, slice edam

    Lunch lentil soup and fruit

Tea veg stew and chocolate avocado chia pudding

    Have a great day everyone

    Hi all.

Well done on the weight loss franby.

I had a lovely run last night through the woods, felt great.

This morning I have done a 10 mile bike ride with the usual hills - the joys of Yorkshire - having said that I would hate to live somewhere flat. I may run this evening but I'm not sure due to time and other things going on.

    Today's food

B/F - oats so simple, coffee, slice of fruit toast with flora

Lunch - sandwich, fruit and yoghurt.

Tea - pasta, ready made sauce, garlic bread.

    snacks - fruit, squash.

Blue the days it's a struggle it the best time to be posting on this thread, im sure if you look back over the week Blue your find it hasn't been as bad as you think, focus on the positive, a bad day doesn't ruin a good week and a bad week doesn't ruin a great month, a day at a time :) keep on trucking

My morning hives are now at an acceptable level, last nights yoga really helped but have realised how tight my hip's are I guess thats down to driving all day so will have to add in some un-lady like stretches at home during the week.

Circuit training tonight, will be a struggle in this sticky heat we are having.

    Have a great day everyone

    Thank you tori.k :)

Have you tried deep tissue or traditional thai massage? Very good for tight muscles. I've been having bad leg cramps for a month and they disappeared immediately after the massage...

Have not been too bad these last few days, have managed to mostly get my cravings for sweet, naughty treats under control. Except that after dinner last night I had a mini tub of B&J's cookie dough ice cream. Thats been in the freezer for aaaages!

Today I have discovered the joys of the MFP app, which I'm going to use to track my calories, exercise and sugar/sat.fat intake. I've done really well today and the thought of having to add a naughty treat to MFP has stopped me twice today from grabbing something. It has recommended for me that I limit my sugar intake to 50g a day. Today I discovered 3x belvita biscuits and a banana got me to 55g :eek: so am going to have a rethink of breakfast choices...might opt for readybrek, which the packet informs me comes in at 4g or was it 0.4g of sugar...can't remember now :rotfl::rotfl:
It didn't stop me having KFC for dinner after the gym though did it?!?! Although I did end up having a smaller portion of chips and 1 less piece of chicken

Baby steps and with the exercise I did, I've still managed to have a calorie deficit today. Whoop!

Hope everyone else has had a good day. I mamanged 120kg on the leg press today for 6 reps. Well chuffed! :D
  • Got up at 7.30, light drizzle, distant thunder - have til 9am to get in a 45 min run as after that we have a full day with clubs, exams and night out with 6pm start.

Now sitting here in full running gear, while the mother of all thunderstorms carries on outside the house - torrential rain and flooded roads, the works. Will it stop in the next ten mins.....? Doesn't look like it. If I'm lucky will manage couple of laps round the block.

Still, have kept to no sugar and reduced carbs, sensible portions and first 4 days of running programme, weigh in on Monday so hopefully will notice some movement downwards - just have a Chinese buffet tonight to contend with.......

    Have a good weekend everyone!

It's so annoying when the weather scuppers your plans. Could you maybe have a look at applemunchers ZWOW online and do one of those?
