    Awww thanx TS.
A few years back we were stuck on about £20k of negative equity when the market crashed.
Luckily that's all flipped on its head now and we have enough equity (although not sure how much until we get the house valued and on the market) to clear the rest of our debts (they're still pretty high :( ) and that's about it at the moment.
With every month that passes our equity amount increases and debts and mortgage decrease so we know one day our moving day will come :j
Bubbs has seen our house and knows we have a tight fit :o I just look forward to the day when my kids can have their own bedrooms :j
It's been hard work and I know there's still a big struggle ahead but that light at the end of the tunnel is slowly getting closer :j:j:j

My girls never did have their own bedrooms in the end the older 2 were inseperable after topping and tailing on a sofa bed in the flat so they shared a bedroom in this house. And the little bedroom became the nursery when DD3 came along. ;)

Then when DD1 became a grumpy teenager she had the little room with the younger 2 sharing, so this meant DD2 had never had her own room, eventually when DD1 went to uni it was move around again so she had a chance of her own space. :)

DD3 has big bedroom now as home all the time and DD2 comes back to the little room. Downstairs has never been a problem.

But there would be loads of room upstairs if it wasn't for stashes. :o

It was not a good time nerfy, quite a few of our friends handed their keys in. :( We didn't we stayed with it and luckily for us it turned out ok. :)

I remember being at home when it was that so called black Wednesday in 1992 and watching on tv while the interest rates went up to something like 15% and thinking this is it we are going to have to hand in our keys as well. :o

We lost my MIL the next year and OH inherited just enough to pay off our negative equity so we sold while house prices were low. When we had initially bought the flat prices had been going up £1000 a week which was a lot then.

I sold a 2 bed house beginning of 1988 for £36,000 and by July that year a 1 bed flat cost us £53,000. Which in proportion then was a huge jump. Seems an awful long time ago now. :rotfl:

    That's crazy
I got my 1st house for £50,000 and after 13 years owed £58,000 when we moved:o we were stupid with no kids so new car and 5* holiday to Mexico with a further advance telling them it was for a new kitchen
If interest rates went up that high mrsnerf would have to get a job:( and who would do my dinner:(

ahhh really? what year is yout son in? :)
she was a nightmare when i broke my leg & couldn't get DS2 to school & my mum had many a row with her on the phone  she couldn't understand why i couldn't let an autistic child take 2 buses to & from school  my mum works at a school in essex & knows that schools have funds to help with transport in certain circumstances but she was having none of it & i ended up paying £65 a week for 6 weeks for him to get cabs too & from school otherwise she would have prosecuted us :(

He's in yr 10, so only one more year to go. He wants to do I.T. in the 6th form and DC don't do any, so will move to CH.

    Thanks for the photo.
Naebbirac and I were looking at these on sunday but confused as priced at £1. Do they scan different to this as last comparison I saw was different price.
Now I know what I am looking for I will try these. I know they have been going a long time. I do not eat gluten but with summer coming nearer and living by the sea I am expecting frequent visitors who will eat them.
    Also perfect for pack lunches.
I know they are long life but do they freeze?
    TIA
    V x

They were priced at 78p in my @. They are freezable- although my freezer is full, they've quite a good date on them. Mine are July. :)
