Disney Frozen Printable Pack

Ive just had an email from Moneywise magazine with an email regarding the new rules on mortgages (and also re mortgages) .
this seems like a hell of a lot of paperwork to get together - a years worth of bank statements which are usually online now and most people have separate personal accounts plus a joint account so at least 3. Plus credit card statements assume you also need 12 months of these and again most people have several cards and the paperwork for car loans, student loans etc.
Also a lot of people keep their finances private - don't want their partners to know what their phone bills are or how much they spend at the hairdressers or about their gambling habits etc
I think only the ultra organiser bordering on the obsessive with sparkling clean financial records will ever think of getting a mortgage. I think it will be enough to put some off getting their own place ever and just stay in rented accommodation.
the MSE budget brain website covers most things. I gave this to my eldest and she said she just does not have the time to go through it all which is another problem - the time factor.
"If you're buying a home or wanting to remortgage, new rules are being introduced that could affect your plans.
From 26 April, Mortgage Market Review (MMR) rules officially come into force, requiring lenders to be far more diligent about who they lend money to.
The Financial Conduct Authority, which is responsible for the changes, wants to make sure the bad old days of mortgages being handed out willy nilly - sometimes even without proof of a borrower's income - stay firmly in the past.
Here's our checklist of the things you will probably be asked to provide
Rent
Council tax
Gas
Electricity
Water
Food (groceries and eating out)
Petrol and car maintenance
Landline
Broadband
Mobile phone
Car insurance
Buildings and contents insurance
Pet insurance
TV Licence
Student loan
Other outgoings:
Childcare
Gym membership
Haircuts
Gambling
Outstanding debt:
You'll also be asked for any outstanding balances you have on the following, in addition to your monthly outlay on them:
Credit cards
Store cards
Personal loans
Furniture loans
Car loan
Overdrafts
The questions are designed to give the bank or building society a comprehensive overview of your spending habits so it can ensure you are able to keep up with your mortgage payments, even if rates rise.
Other things you will be asked to provide:
Bank statements (up to a year's worth in some cases)
Your latest P60
Statements of all outstanding debt (including everything from credit cards to a student loan).
That is really scary for future generations.
I know before I got a mortgage we splashed out on big holiday etc etc before being tied down with debts, how would that look on a bank statement.
I feel really sorry for those trying to get a foot on the property ladder.
I am glad I don't have the worry ever again.0
