I got my 1st house for £50,000 and after 13 years owed £58,000 when we moved:o we were stupid with no kids so new car and 5* holiday to Mexico with a further advance telling them it was for a new kitchen :eek:

You do manage though, at one point we had £3 week left to buy either cakes or bottle of wine for a treat. We had no idea how we were going to afford birthday/xmas presents but in the end we did. You just get on with it and you would have to do your own dinner.0 -

Had mum on phone 45 mins groan they delivering her electric chair tomorrow I ordered it online for her.
She paid to have engineers build it but emails don't say when they turning up
