We always upgrade, but that's because we all (me, hubby and our 3 boys 5, 3 and 7 months) all sleep in the living room together like a big camp out for the whole holiday.

Our boys love it... and in truth so do I... LOL

when booking a non uk european holiday e.g. france - do you get an option to upgrade or does it specify if it is tent or caravan?

I can see that some of the sites have both caravans and tents but don't know if it will ask me what i would prefer?

anyone done a european hols before and know the answer?

Hi art we do france every year and u get a van normally nice ones too we have been to Verny rivière la croissant view pont 4 times and we're going back in May half term we have also been mid west coast La Rochelle it's lovely there

Though criossant would be loads better, especially if it means you get them for free!

Hi Art, yes it does tell you at booking or it did in Jan. Cant remember exactly but when you get successful search it states standard accom or tent. Could be diff now
