Ukps parking fine-my fault, worth appealing?

I stupidly decided to risk parking in a private no charge UK parking area with a clear sign by UKPS as I was late picking up my child from school. 10 minutes later I returned to a car blocking my way and a man putting the fine on my windscreen. He continued by taking photos and wouldn't unblock my passage until he was done. Should I just pay the £60 fine or is it worth appealing?

It is not a fine, so why would you just pay this invoice without appealing, and if you follow the advice on here you will win and cost the scammers money too.0 -
Thanks Fisherjim, I've read the newbies thread and will wait for the NRK. I suppose in my POPLA appeal (it will get to that stage I assume) I shouldn't mention UNCLEAR, INADEQUATE AND NON-COMPLIANT SIGNAGE as a reason?0

You DEFINITELY mention it. Have you checked it in minute detail against the BPA Code of Practice requirements? Even if you have, you get the PPC to prove to POPLA that they have compliant signage.
But, 'no GPEOL, lack of contract with landowner and no authority to pursue charges to court level in their own name' appeal points will win this for you at POPLA.
Just make sure you follow the NEWBIES sticky processes and timescales. Let us, eventually, see your POPLA appeal draft, for fine tuning advice. If you have any queries about anything not covered in the sticky, get back to us.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. Several UKPS threads on here - bear in mind it's not a BPA AOS member so it's not POPLA it's the IPC IAS, as mentioned in this similar thread:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4927886
So in readiness, read the IPC Code of Practice - in doing so, you'll be more familiar with it than us as it's newer than the BPA version we all know and love! And can you show us the signage please (a photo). IPC members often get the signs hopelessly wrong at the moment, bearing in mind that under IPC rules we know that they 'have' to use a contractual fee model (not 'breach of terms' on the signage wording).
Only the other day, someone posted about UKPS cancelling immediately when they saw the template forum appeal from here. They couldn't hack it, look:

When it comes to your appeal, you might want to add in that the operator ILLEGALLY blocked you in judging by your first post."The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis." - Dante Alighieri0 -
There are 2 UKPS's.
T R Luckins Ltd T/A UK Parking Solutions - BPA AOS member

UKPS (North West) - IPC AOS member

@OP - we need to know which one please, as advice will be slightly different, depending on who we are dealing with here. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. The UKPS I am dealing with is T R Luckins Ltd T/A UK Parking Solutions - BPA AOS member. I had already checked the BPA website and found them under their alternative name. Am I right in thinking that a POPLA appeal is still relevant? Thank you for your interest and help, you guys are amazing!0

Any advice on wording helphelphelphelp? How far did your process go? Just wanting to know really so I'm fully prepared. Have never had to deal with bailiffs and the like. Thanks again.
