Good luck tomorrow. Sure it will be fine, its good to have a rest before a race
I've got a 7 mile race tomorrow, but all my training has been for 5k so think I am going to use it as a training run for the 15k race that i have next Sat. :rotfl:“Time is intended to be spent, not saved” - Alfred Wainwright0 -

Hi guys
Can I join in please
I have a couple of races coming up (10k Oct 9th and Half marathon the weekend after on the 16th) I need some motivation and a few KU the A's as I haven't done nowhere near the training I had planned to do!
I have had a bit of a bad time recently with things, but the dust is settling with that now and I need to focus on getting my fitness back.
I'm not expecting PB's, but I would like to complete the races without too much of a struggle and complaint.

Welcome raphael, I'd have thought the impending races you have would be a kick up the ar se enough.
Personally I'd be taking the gentle approach to the 10k and using that as a training run for the half as there is only a week between them.
I've just done the same for the race that I had today, it was a 7 mile mile race that I used as a tempo run for next weeks race that I am doing.“Time is intended to be spent, not saved” - Alfred Wainwright0 -
Finished the race in 1:22:34 (official chip time) so not too far off my target actually! I finished 1415th out of 14370

I won't add the pic as its quite big as I forgot to resize it when I uploaded it.“Time is intended to be spent, not saved” - Alfred Wainwright0 -
Loads of people around me were like, "I'm so having a beer/gin & tonic (delete as appropriate) when I finish" and I'm just there like, "I can't drink so I'll stick to my Diet Coke." Although I did actually have a chocolate protein shake courtesy of bagman, aka hubby and a giant cookie he got me from M&S0
