So he worked hard for his money and spent it enjoying himself? I'm guessing at 16 he doesn't have any financial obligations so let him make, and be responsible for, his choices. You may not like the way he has spent his money but his money, his choice.

If he is regretting his choice, then tough! It will be a good lesson for him and better for him to fritter away his entire pay packet in one night at 16, rather than in 10/15 years when he may well have a family to support, mortgage etc.

He chose to drink, he chose to waste his cash on a machine. He only has himself to blame.

The FACT he can read, only adds to the chances he wont be getting his money back, particularly having read the notice and choosing to ignore it. Unfortunately, coming on here will get you no further in ensuring he can get that refund, the advice will be pretty much to the point, that he is NOT entitled to any refund.

Surley the pub have done wrong by not asking his age or asking for id. If they had and he had shown his id then it would be his own fault. who can I report the pub to?
