Cheers MIT. Glad to be rid of it. Finally decided to throw all my spare cash at my ISA this month and next, and then pay off the Halifax card. The snowballer said this would save me 48p!:rotfl: . But ultimately it will save me more because the money will be gaining interest until OH changes his mind back again and finally decides to buy a house (either that or I eventually save enough, buy my retirement flat, and leave him :rotfl: )

I'm so glad you have a plan lol

Went well with the estate agent today. Am all scared now lol. I have packed loads of stuff away into the loft, summer house, shed etc and every cupboard is full to bursting. Unrealistic way to live though tbh. I keep changing my mind about moving but realistically we have totally outgrown this house. It looks lovely just now and appears all spacious but its only because I have put everything away in the oddest places :o . I'm all of a dither about what to do. I had hoped that if I moved then I would be able to pay something off of my debt but thats not looking likely which means in reality I will £150 or so worse off per month. Need to do my sums again I think and see if its at all possible . Hope everyone is doing ok. x

could you wait a bit MIT? just while you pay a bit more off? I'm getting really hacked off just now as neighbours are bugging me and there are a few nice houses I could afford if I didn't have THE DEBT and I could do mine up a bit. but if you feel you are bursting at the seams maybe it's not possible to wait any longer.

Well done Red, bet that feels good. :j

I feel like moving too, but abroad for some warmer weather. Can't see that happening for a few years or so yet.

Hope everything goes well for you MIT, are you going to take your new summer house with you if you move?

    xx
  • Call me impulsive but I have changed my mind about moving. I have not seen anything yet that matches my house either in size or decor. The houses that are bigger than mine are too expensive for me and the ones I can afford are either minging or are smaller. I would be adding £30k onto my mortgage for the sake of an extra few feet and I would be really, really skint instead of just really skint. The other thing is that all the houses I have looked at so far would need absolutely everything done to them and I just dont have the spare money for that. My DD is going to give DS the large bedroom in here and she will move into his room. I am very hopeful that this will alleviate the space issue and whilst we are swapping the 2 of them over I will have a major sort out of their [STRIKE]cr*p[/STRIKE] treasure.
Going to get new doors and windows as well and heating upstairs in the house and this will make this house perfect. I will no doubt change my mind tomorrow  .

No big spending today. I bought a nice new plant pot for my kitchen. It was only £3 though so thats fine. I have discovered that you get 2.5% cash back from ASDA through topcashback, I also have 3 free deliveries so that'll save me going there in person for a while. Yay !!

    Hope everyone is good x

Wow - I'm impressed at your DD swapping her bedroom for a smaller one, it's a well-known fact that us girls need much more space than boys:rotfl: .

And just think, if you moved you wouldn't get all the benefit of your new kitchen;) .

Managed not to spend anything today, but considering that follows last night's £122 Tesco shop I should probably give myself a jolly good beating if I had spent anything. That's already £200 spent this month, and there's only 2 of us, where the hell does it all go:confused: (mind you, his nibbs is 6' 5" so he takes some feeding!).
