Jeez Binnie, sounds like you've had a frustrating day (doesn't look like you managed the smilies either)! Hopefully things will go more smoothly for you from now on.

Wow MIT, it all sounds very exciting for you, fingers crossed you get good news from the valuation.

RBS statement finally came through so I'm now having to hold myself back and stop myself paying it off until Monday - don't want to lose 2 days worth of interest on my current account:rotfl:

    Hope everyone has great weekend.x

  • Aww Binnie. Poor you. What a rotten time. They are right about not being able to give you a duplicate P45 though. Something to do with fraudulent claims. Glad they are giving you the statement of earnings though. I have closed down loads of accounts recently so hopefully my credit record will be okay at the minute.

Red I think you are getting a wee bit OCD about RBS :p .

Finished decorating my kitchen tonight as house is getting valued on Monday  . Went to see 2 houses today. Hated one of them and loved the other. It wasn't grand or anything but was pretty much a blank canvas and exactly where I want to live. Am all excited but dead nervous incase I don't manage to get the mortgage for some reason. Got my yearly mortgage statement in today also and actually owe the company £2k less than I thought ,so that was great news. The house I am in I bought with my ex and this is really scary to be deciding about buying a house all by myself. Time I grew up I think :).
I am absolutely knackered now and heading to bed as I will have loads to do tomorrow to get this place up to scratch for the valuer on Monday. Night x

    Hi everyone,

Off work today as I couldn't sleep a wink last night and husband was snoring for England. I felt sick and all a to do.
Probably get in trouble on monday when I go back to work as Saturday is their busiest day and I've let them down. :p .

MIT you can swap your house for mine if you want.
It's an ideal location, on the edge of the countryside, birds singing, near to the town for local shops, etc etc.

Downside is, needs a new roof, new brickwork for end of the house, new bathroom, new carpets, and redecorating, new roof on the garage, need to shoot the neighbour with his boom box in the car and bedroom, noisy milkman who wakes me up about 4am every weekday, but otherwise it's fine

You can have it for a mere £95 million which I didn't win on the euro millions last night. lol.

Anyway off to eat some toast, and then back to bed to rest my weary head.
    xxxx

Red I think you are getting a wee bit OCD about RBS :p .

:rotfl: lol MIT. I do particularly hate this card. It's not actually my debt so to speak. I used it several years ago whilst my parents were on holiday to pay the baliffs that had come round because mum was £1000+ in arrears on council tax. Up until then I didn't have a balance on that card so mum agreed that she would pay me to pay off the card. Then at some point after that she asked me to draw out some cash on it so I ended up drawing out £200  , so obviously am getting charged ridiculous amounts of interest on it. Somewhere along the line she just stopped giving me the money to pay it off, which I guess I should have anticipated. So whilst I concentrated on my debts, thinking that this was hers, I've basically ended up paying huge amounts more in interest because I've ended up paying for this as well. So I really really want rid and have an end to this whole sorry story.

Whinge over. OH is itching to get out and enjoy the good weather (is that a rain cloud I see in the distance?). So better be off.

    Have fun everyone.x

  • Hello biddies

Binnie that is a very kind offer but hmmmm after long and careful consideration( aprox 3 secs) I must decline. The commute to work would do me in :p .

Tifn I am assuming you mean the pack where you tell them everything that is wrong with your house. Dunno is the answer but no-one has mentioned it to me so far.

Red I'm just teasing you;) . Must be galling having to pay it though without at least having the pleasure of spending on it.

Another busy day for me today. I am sure useless tat breeds in my house. I don't consider myself a hoarder but OMG the cr*p that is in this house. Have filled the wheelie bin already.

Got a large free sample of the new lenor today and the smell is divine. my house smells delish. Looks like a launderette mind you.

Going to a party tonight with the kids. My fave auntie's 60th. Going to take the car though as no money for drinkies :(.

My mum got a new mobile today and she has already sent me 3 blank messages  . This will go on for weeks you know. She called me and was moaning that her money is going down really quickly. NO WONDER !! :rotfl: .

Not done too badly on the spends today. £40 in Morrisons. £12 for a top for DD. £3 DS for swimming and £26 for birthday cake. Hmm ok then I have done quite badly after all.

Am away to put on my party frock now x

  • NSD for me today :j . I have not gone out the house mind you. I have been throwing out more tat today. Place is looking pretty fine although I say it myself. My mum was here for dinner and she said the kitchen was absolutely fab. High praise indeed from her.

I am knackered though as I have been like a wee cleaning dervish all day. Why do we not ensure our houses are perfect and all the wee jobs done for ourselves ?? I have been putting right all sorts of bits and bobs that have lain undone forever.

I am so nervous about the estate agent coming tomorrow as I have no idea what the value of the house is as the prices are going up so quickly at the minute here.  . Scary biscuits!!

    Garibaldy!

Sorry, thought you were asking for suggestions, and I'm terrified of any biscuit with fruit in it!:p

Congratulations on getting the house ship-shape. Know what you mean about not doing things for yourself. It's got to the stage where we have a proper tidy-up if we're expecting anyone (OH has been known to tell friends they can't come in when they've turned up unexpectedly - hmm, I hate to think how you imagine we live, honest, it's not really that bad but it's the world's tiniest flat so if you do anything even reading the sunday papers - it looks like a bomb's hit).

Managed not to spend anything:j , but only left the flat to go on an abortive photography mission so I guess it's not that much of an achievement. Just waiting until gone midnight so I can pay off the RBS card!!!
