  • NSD today. Probably just as well as I stil only have £3 :p . I have just listed 40 books on amazon. I refuse to list them for 1p though. I'm sure it would cost me money to post them at that price. Will go through the rest of the books tomorrow night. Will spend a while tomorrow doing e-bay also. I need to get going again with my overpayments.

Atleast you did not spend a penny yet! Been a bad weekend for me, we had take out last night and the night before and I bought tickets to see matchbox 20 in concert in May.... yikes! Spend a whopping £80 this weekend... feel so crap about it now!
Smile more often, it's FREE :hello: Live on £4000 for a year stalker! :p
  • Well Buzzbox I can beat you hands down now:o . I bought a new pc today:o . My laptop is dying on me. Poor thing is probably exhausted tbh. I keep breaking the power cables and they cost a fortune to replace. As well as that I am getting a sore back and neck because of the way I am sitting with it on my knee. Had it for 3 years so it is well out of date. ( Can you tell I am trying to justify this to myself?) I would rather do without the telly than a computer. And I am starting doing my diploma and rely heavily on the computer. There you go all justified :D . I will update my signature at the end of the month and will no doubt be over the £40k again unfortunately. Oh well I will soon pay it off.

Paid my loan today but again only just over £30 paid off of total even though payment is £156. . I've had quite a nice weekend this week. No money to go out so the kids had friends over and I had a nice peaceful time as they all disappeared outside and to their respective rooms. Kids were at their dads today for a couple of hours so it was all good. I still have the £3 in my purse lol even though I spent £500. 6 months interest free so I better get saving for it quick smart. xx

Congratulations on the new computer MIT, sounds like the perfect reason to ebay all the carp you've built up and pay for the computer with it! And if you need any more justification, by the time you've forked out £50-£60 for a new laptop cable, you don't need many cables to make a new computer financially viable. See, I can always find a reason to spend:rolleyes: .

I've had a pretty well restrained weekend. Went over and stayed at a friends house last night, OH paid for the chinese so it didn't cost me anything. And today I've been a demon in the kitchen and made a huge chilli (should do apx 7 meals for 2 of us), and made my first attempt at making butternut squash soup (hats off to the person who first put in the effort to peel the damn thing without knowing that it was edible). To be honest it's ended up a bit runny but I'll know for next time. That will do me for 6 lunches (although weightwatchers claims it's 12 - yeah right!) so that will save me some cash, and hopefully some weight.

  • just realised that £30 had come into account from a bingo win so I have just paid £38 from Sony card. Time to stop messing about. Thank god I didn't know about that money at the beginning of the weekend or it would no doubt have been spent.:p

  • good for you Red. I love days like that when you really feel as if you have achieved something. Wouldn't want any of your soup I'm afraid. I used to watch my SIL making baby food from that and it was eeeww. Wouldn't even be able to try and eat it. Enjoy :rotfl: .

lol @ MIT:rotfl: , the woman who gave me the tip about microwaving it to soften the skin said she used to puree it for her baby. Unfortunately my soup doesn't look as appetising as babyfood, think it needed some potato and cream (but weightwatchers doesn't allow that:naughty: ). However, next time I will put in some chillies and cumin to spice it up a little.
