    Sorry yes just seen it.
I don't know if I would be able to follow it as I don't know my Apr's on stuff.
I'm a little beggar for throwing things away and don't take much notice of apr's normally.
But things have to stop as I will never pay the blighters off.

next time I get a bill, I will see what I can do.
I'm aiming to pay off my lowest card. It's only £88 or so, and last night I paid £15 so I'm quite chuffed. I also cut that card up and when I have finished paying it, I will tell them to shut that account.

I owe thousands on others though :(

Still need a job to pay the bills can't rely on my ebay stuff selling.

    Whats your job mit?
  • Phone the companies up and get the APR's. It's really good to know how long it is going to take you as you then get really determined to beat the date it tells you originally. I'm a civil servant Binnie. Thats why I am so skint lol

When I first ready your post, I thought blimey you are on a good wage.
I got up to £6.50 an hour up until July and that only lasted a year.
Now I can't even get a job with the minimum wage.
All the jobs round here seem to be less than £6 per hour, but I've applied for loads of them and they don't want me.
Now I'm having to resort to minimum wage and I still will have ebay to do. :(
  • Yes Binnie you are right I am on a decent wage but I am a single mum and ex is rubbish at helping out financially so although a decent income it is the only income into the house along with a small amount of maintenance and tax credits. I have 2 kids . I know I am lucky though.
If you took a job at minimum wage would you not get tax credits to top it up? Check on the tax credits site. The thing about taking a job on minimum wage is that it is always experience, it is more than the social pay you, you have the pride in knowing you earned the money you have and it is true that it is easier to get a job when you are in a job. My pals sister started work in ASDA on the checkouts and she now manages one of the big stores. You need to look at the big picture. Hmm sounds like a lecture and it is so not meant to be . Good luck job hunting xx

Hi mit, hope you had a nice day today. Been out to another town today with a friend and we intended looking for bargains for Xmas pressies.
We ended up in Wetherspoons pub and got a Burger, Chips, and a drink for £4.49, whoopee, bargain. Trouble is, I ate mine, and can't wrap it up for Xmas hee hee

As for money, I'm sure the more we earn the more we spend.
I used to earn £3.50 an hour back in 1993 and didn't have no credit cards or loans and still felt poor. But looking back, if I couldn't afford it, then I couldn't have it, mmmm, how things have changed with my friend the plastic.

I bet it is difficult with having kids managing etc, I don't have any, unless you can call having a husband one!

Today I picked up a leaflet as a new M&S food store is opening in Dec, so I'm going to apply for that job too.
I love their food, so would have to have goodwillpower not to spend all my wage there.

    xxxxx

P.S Can't get tax credits I'm afraid, as my husband earns too much, so they say.
  • There's a big m&s foodstore here as well and I know loads of people who are working there. Just think of the discount you will get.

My back garden looks like a bomb has hit it. Bits of summer house all over the place. Sand everywhere. I let our wee rabbit out for a run earlier and she was well confused. Will be grand when it is finished though.

Will need to buy the paint for it tomorrow as I forgot the summer house will need to be treated. Why do these things always work out more expensive than you budget for. Ho hum.

Your Summerhouse needs treating, why has it been good  oh I am so corny.

Yes one new pruchase always leads to another. How is it when buying something new, you then need to always buy extras that we forget?

Made £80 on Ebay today, whoppeee, can't believe it. Think I will go out more often. If I sit and watch all day no-one buys anything, but I went out for five hours and came back to a nice surprise.

Last night, I cut two credit cards up , did I tell you?
I'm really chuffed with myself and reading things on here helped me do it.
    Thank you all
