  • Not a very MSE day for me today. Had lunch with my girlfriends and spent £13.Good job we weren't on the wine to any great extent. But hey it was tres yummy. So much for the not eating out challenge lol. Twice in 2 days :o . Taking my mum out for lunch tomorrow as well as a wee treat from my winnings. I will be rolling about soon rather than walking.:rotfl: .
We were talking today about going to belly dancing classes or salsercise. I adore dancing but I am mega unfit just now. I quite fancy a go though. Would be brill to have some time for me to have fun fun fun.
I have done all my clicks as per usual and my stuff is finishing on e-bay early tomorrow. It is sitting at > £30 just now so hopefully a few more pounds will be added to the total before closing. I will pay it off of my Barclaycard which has taken a bit of a bashing this month between buying the summer house etc. Never mind I have a plan for paying it off so am not too worried. I just want rid of it ASAP. x

  • made about £70 from e-bay in total but cant use it for debt as DD is really really needing some clothes. Might get away with a couple of zippers but will try and look tomorrow and check her wardrobe out. If I dont need to use it all then I will pay some off .

so much for dreaming abour reducing the overdraft.... woke at 5 this morning having a dream my sister was kicking me!
then i couldn't get back to sleep. need to get up early in the mornin to wrap the ebay stuff. oh joy, queuing in the post office on market day!
  • oh well I will be doing the same here so you can have a wee grin whilst standing in the queue knowing mse'rs all over the UK are doing the same thing. Did you do well with your selling then?
I ate a tub of Ben and Jerrys tonight. Was fabby. Was reduced in price so do you reckon I can assume it was reduced in calories ?? ;)
Just found out today that my work will be funding a diploma for me. This will count as 60 points towards my OU degree and I am thrilled to bits. I had to stop studying as I couldn't afford the fees. No doubt I'll be moaning soon that I am knackered and have no time to myself.
I have been buying sweets and snacks again the last couple of weeks but I reckon I am going to stop as the kids are driving me nuts with them My DD wanted sweets for brekkie!!!!!! I nearly hit the roof. Tonight I made them macaroni cheese for dinner and it was fab but DD said she was full half way through it and then came through with a bag of sweets. Yeah right!!! She was sent right back with them and oh boy was she having a strop. Did I care? Did I hell. She soon ate the pasta lol and DS followed suit. She is just testing her boundaries at the moment and I need to keep redrawing the lines lol. Teenagers  .

  • Hmm I am in a wee quandary. I joined in with the long haulers as my DFD isnt until 2011 and I reckon nearly 4 years is a long haul. I mentioned on it that I have a car loan and a secured loan but that I havent counted them as debt. It has been pointed out to me that debt is debt but I am assuming I will always have a car loan and secured loan was for adding a room to my house and new windows so I see it as part of my mortgage. If I count these I will be lonh hauling until???? forever. Am I cheating just wanting to be free from my CC's? Opinions requested please.

Hello, At last I've caught up. Been reading this thread since weekend, it's so addictive.

I daren't tell you all my debts, I am so naughty.

I also won on Bingo last week £50. I hadn't realised as I got bored and switched to the Job Centre page to seek a job, then when I went back into the Bingo, I noticed my balance had gone up by £50, hee hee.:j
Still waiting for it to appear in my bank though.

I have won quite bit on Bingo games over the last few months, nothing as large as mit's, but I did win £120 one night, I was so shocked.

Trouble is, I don't pay it off my debts, I just spend it as thought theres no tomorrow.

By the way, what is your main job mit??

i dont include my car finance, im locked into it for 2 more years and if i sell the car now i will really loose out, i have a buy back value from the dealer and when i sell it i will get a more sensibly priced car that i can buy with what they pay me for the car. i dont know why i dont include it but at present i cant change the scheme im on so i guess i see it more as renting the car. i will get back at least the deposit i payed which was half the cost.

i think i would also view the loan as part of the mortgage, you can look at that after the debts are gone.

everyone else seems to be doing so well with ebay, i really have to get on with listing my items!
