My gran comes to visit today for a week and she will be the first person to tell me i am fat and i need to stop eating, when she is here normally and she says that it just makes me want to go and eat till i feel sick as it annoys me.

  • Oops a wee bit of an overspend today. Spent £7 in ASDA on sweets. £12 on pictures ( went to ratatouille). Bought 2 handbags in Dunnes for Christmas presents. Gave the kids a fiver each from my winnings ( Aint I kind :rotfl: ). Got a couple of things for kids to wear that they needed. What did I get???
Hee haw as per usual :rotfl: . I dont need anything and would rather pay off the debt instead. Jeez I am so boring these days. I really want to try and get under £13k by Christmas. i'm challlenging myself to do it.
Nice to see you back Dee. None of us have done too well on the weight front. Good luck with the job hunting. I'm sure something will come up.xx

    wooohooooo!
congrats on the win! no wonder everyone's bingoin mad!
welcome back dee, i am feeling like i'm fighting a losing battle with the weight, not lost any in ages.
btw, how many new posters have been on this thread since your win mit?!! tons! just shows how much support you've got on here to keep going.
bet the kids were thrilled with their spends! it made me think though - if someone gave me £5 what would i do with it? might start my own thread asking. i'd probably just keep it in my purse and not spend it until i got to bank and then try to put it into my uni save-up-stash.
  • £5 ?? What would I spend it on??
I know!! I saw a cheapie jumper in ASDA today for a fiver so I would get that. Mind you it would only be if I had to spend the money if I didnt then it would go into the bank and pay a fiver off my cc.
    Obsessed moi!! Nivver :rotfl:
Tifn my lass has more money than me. She saves up from her paper round and spends it every so often. She gave me £100 towards her summer house the other day. Good girl. Great lesson for them to learn re saving for things they want. Such a pity DS is so cr*p at it :p . xx

  • I spent £8 on a nice jumper for me today. First clothing I have bought in ages. Going out for a cheapie lunch with my girlies on Sunday so I want to look smart. Spent loads on shopping:o . I have really been cutting that down as well but cupboards and freezer were really low and I bought the kids a few treats. I havent even got this money in my account yet lol but hey ho.
This has shown me though that I will have to be mega careful when I do get debt free or I will just put up my shopping bill and I really really dont want that to happen. Don't get me wrong I will put the budget up a bit but no way am I going to go back to spending over £100 a week for 3 of us. Not quite reached the frugal stage yet but I am working on it. Way way over shopping budget but I am still going to keep an eye on things and not go mad, Dont know about everyone else but my budget goes out the window when the kids are off school. I shouldnt have to buy much of anything though for a couple of weeks as I could feed my whole street at the moment. xx

Hey, only just read your post about the bingo win (I lost the DFW plot a little this month and have felt too guilty about it to visit the site much). Anyway - congratulations:T , you really deserve it!

Wierd thing is, I've no kids at home but for some inexplicable reason the grocery budget this month has hit the stratosphere, but I can't work out why. It can't just be because I had to stock up on loo roll again!!

  • nah red it will just be because you have lost the plot a wee bit. Welcome back and get back on track ASAP.
The money from my win is in the bank today. I have transferred £300 to my mum to keep for me to pay for the patio and I will pay another £300 to the credit union along with my shares and that will be my loan paid off. I have paid off my holiday that I had in July and I am really pleased about that. It just goes to show that even on the income I have at the moment if I work really hard at budgeting I could afford to save for a nice holiday each year. I cant wait until Monday to pay off credit union. Sad or what lol

Sad? - probably! But despite me having new coat, shoes and boots that I all needed for winter (having scraped through last winter they've all finally given up the ghost), all I can think about is that it means I won't be DF by new year as planned, I'll only be about a month out and I really should get some perspective but it feels like I've failed.:(

But at least I'll be warm and won't need to worry about my heels snapping off! Determined to wrestle control back from next month (although next months treat fund has already been spent on the coat so no treats for me!).
