  • I'm getting into a bit of a paddy now as I really don't think I am going to make it through the month. I have just under £200 left in bank I can use and have about £130 coming in the next 3 weeks. Sounds loads but the problem is that I have £156 to pay on 17th for secured loan, £176 on 26th for Halifax credit card and £155 for my car bill. I also have to feed us and buy petrol. So this week I will fill up car £30, pay loan £156. so £200 add £130 = £330-186=£144. Next week will get £130 so £130 add £144= £274- £176=£98. Will then get £130 through the next week so that will be £130 add £98= £228. Will have £155 to pay for car bill . This means I have £73 to see me through for 3 weeks . Sh*t.
Oh well this will have to be a major storecupboard month. I will try and do loads of baking before I go back to work so that there will be loads for packed lunches for us all. I have loads in for baking cakes, biccies, bread etc so that will be fine. Oh b*gger I'm sick of this  . I hate being an adult:mad:

i haven't got time to do a car boot - plus i don't drive so thats a bit of a hurdle - finding someone to sit with you for 5 hours in a field on a sunday morning!
i'm taking some jewelllery to a pawn shop tomorrow, taking bags of change to the bank, selling my dresses on ebay, forgetting to have lunch etc. i have a night out that i am committed to on friday, boyf's bday party on saturday, and about £35 to pay for it all! i've put my bus money to one side to last me till pay day though.
you're doing really well MIT, top notch! hows your little boy?
  • hi tif. He is grand. I haven't heard anything from the hospital so I am assuming there is nothing desperate to tell me. Thank god. Thats a shame about you not being able to car boot. I think at the moment I am in the mid month stage again. Nothing getting paid, still skint and wont be able to pay anything else until payday probably. Never mind at least it is going down nicely. x

  • Right thats it!! I have put on yet another 2lb. I am gargantuan:eek: . When I go back to work on Monday I am resuming my healthy eating plan. Going to use this as my diet diary as well as debt one. Anyone want to join me?

Today I have to enrol DD in her dancing classes, Pick up school jacket for my DS and take his wee pal home. DD needs shavings for her rabbit. No cost to me for anything though and really going to try and spend nothing except postage for an e-bay parcel but that shouldnt be much.:D .

Pre diet I have a big chocolate cake cooking at the moment. I promised the kids I would make them it so I have got to keep my promise :o .mmm smells smashing.
Am loving this couple of weeks at home with kids. I am being a lazy mare which is fab as I hardly ever get the opportunity to do that. Laters x

i'm finding that the less money i have the less food i can buy....coincidence??

i have managed to lose ten pounds in the last 4 months, mainly because i am having two tomatoes, tiny bit of cheese and a bit of cucumber for lunch with a few drops of balsamic vinegar - workmates think i am well posh.

and thinking about my debt is putting me off the grub (except subway subs and lots of cider - does cider count as food?!) had tons of cider on my hols but put on two pounds, so i've lost 8 really.

i'll join you with that debt/diet, I'm aiming to be 11 stone 4 by my wedding. i was 13 stone 3 at the start. currently got 19 pounds to go. blast you big bones!!
  • ok then thats fab. We will just make the challenge that we reduce our weight each week. I think if you set big targets etc then you are destined to fail ( or maybe thats just me :o ) I am not going to post my weight but I will be absolutely honest about any losses or gains. I'll start on Monday. When is your wedding??

I spent £1.60 today. £1.20 on postage for e-bay parcel and £0.40 for library fines  . I know its only 40p but I keep doing this every few weeks.Right no more money from me to the library.
Had £18 in my paypal account but used it to pay off most of my seller account so that when my items finish then the money will be all mine and no bill due from e-bay. In profit so far but needing more if I am going to manage the debt in a month challenge I still have about £95 to pay off of that. Sheesh!! No wonder I am going grey.:rotfl:

    hi MIT.
Don't start talking about greys, my lovely dark hair is going badger-styleeeee!
wedding in less than 13 months, going to just try to get rid of a few pounds before our long weekend in majorca in a few months - why do short breaks end up costing as much as a fortnight?!
i shyed off cos of the rain today as well, didn't make it to the pawn shop with my gold bracelet. it's a bracelet i've had for 10 years and got it off an old boyf, never wear it, might as well use it for the credit card!
might get a tenner, kerching, all adds up.
had a total no spend day, but i've been so busy at work it was nearly a no-eat day.
thinking about the library fines, when you go back to work after the hols why not see if any of your colleagues want to start a book swapping club?
i hand my pre-read books round at work if i think someone might be interested in a certian type of book, they end up doing it in turn for me.
  • Hi tyfn, good idea re the books. Got new ones now so will do my best not to get charges this time:o .
Have spent a wee bit today. Went to poundland and bought 3 packs of jiffy bags, 70 ice poles and new pegs. All needed as kids dont moan for sweets if there are ice poles available. Spent £2.50 on postage and bought 2 first class stamps for vouchers I am selling on e-bay. Gave the kids £1 each to spend as they wish. Generous soul arent I? Oh well I bought them ice poles for gawd sakes. I dont want to spoil them :rotfl: .
I think I might just manage my challenge to pay off my M&S card this month and I will be chuffed if I do. Havent used a CC for nearly 2 months now and have managed to do more or less everything I would normally do. I just dont waste anything now if I can help it. Smashing !!
