it means, ram isn't your problem, and more won't make any noticeable difference to speed.

See the speedup sticky, or search mse for hijackthis, it's downloadable from filehippo.com

use https://antibody-software.com/web/software/software/wiztree-finds-the-files-and-folders-using-the-most-disk-space-on-your-hard-drive/ and www.voidtools.com to see what's using up all that disk space

If you're only storing those photo's in one place, it's risky if that one place fails, and they do fail, often.

    What exactly is slow

Downloaded your link. Unsure how to post on here. Shows the same as the Glary Disc Analyser.

you need to dig a bit deeper than the top level directory to found out whats using what, and/or use wiztree's top 1000 largest files tab. most of it seems to be in your user profile/directory

That really isn't much free disk space at all.

I would start with the tools closed mentioned, to look at disk space usage, and see if you can free up any space.

I'd get a second, large hard drive and then transfer all your data files (documents, music, photos and videos) onto this, leaving the original C: drive for the OS and software.

    The desktop I'm typing this on has a 250GB C: drive and a 1TB D: drive. C: for Computer, D: for Data.

An additional advantage of doing this is, if you ever have to re-install the OS, which usually re-formats the drive, all your data is safe on the D: drive.
If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5? :)

I have just bought an extra 1TB external HD. That is two I have now. I aim to move my photos/videos off my C drive to my new HD.
I do notice that I have 6.12 GB on my One Drive (cloud) which shows on my Libraries. Can I move that to my new drive? (Is that a silly question?)

I have been deleting old software and now have 3GB of Free space.

6 minutes boot isn't normal, 30-40 seconds is. hijackthis log?

You're probably tinkering at the edges looking at programs for freeing up disk space, wiztree should point you to the cause in a few seconds - usual suspects are hibernation file, swap file, videos, temp files, system restore, large games.

Photo's are relatively tiny. If you are in any doubt about having them in multiple places, c drive (ie internal hard disk) is the best place for them, externals for backup.

No games on PC to my knowledge. Grandson has been on here for past months but is no longer allowed.

Photos and Videos are now on my two external HD.

I downloaded Hijackthis, do I Copy & Paste to here?

It seems I'm unable to post a screenshot on Hijackthis as too many characters 172627.
