  • Melly I'm sorry I haven't been around much recently but am so pleased you have your appointment . As Elsien says this is a good thing . Try not to look at why the appointment has been rushed through but instead although it is hard for you see it as a way forward .
I believe one day the caring and intelligent woman you are will shine once again .
We have had a large elephant in the room since dds " invitation " to apply for pip at the end of July . She has been in a terrible state of panic and extreme anxiety . Matters haven't been helped by her face to face at home assessments being cancelled twice at short notice - the second one hour before the assessor was due here . She finally was assessed a month ago . On returning home from appointments at teatime today the brown envelope was here .
Enhanced for both daily living and mobility . No need for a MR or Appeal . She has had to drag herself with the occasional gentle nudge from me through the days and multi appointments and she will ( pain and methotrexate permitting ) sleep tonight as she hasn't for years .
I'm telling you the above to let you know sometimes the system works . Have a bit of trust , put yourself in trained hands and see where it takes you . Try not to panic about eating or not , hopefully help is there . Don't feel you need to do this for anyone but yourself because until you are well you can't support anyone else .
I truly hope the coming new year sees your life settle back on it's axis and wishing you a new home , as Elsien said going for the treatment will validate your need to relocate as you will build more medical evidence .
An outstanding GP who sees my daughter at least every two weeks all the year round . His wonderful letter for the assessor , an experienced nurse who came to take evidence and did not ask her her weight being mindful of her previous history and the fact that the demon never goes away and was gentle and kind and my daughters courage to push forward although she was struggling to not stay under the duvet achieved the outcome .
I hope to post more now the elephant has left the building !
Take care of yourself love .
    Love polly x

Through the tiniest gap in the window.

One was cornered on bedside cabinet by madam pickle
The thin one had hoovered up all available and some none available food.

I know this means they will keep trying but at least it's eaten something

You just summed up the thoughts and feelings of everyone who reads and contributes to this thread. :rotfl:

    Today I am feeling oversensitive

taken one of the painkillers that are nsaid given by gp.
Managed a mini roll (woohoo) OH started with try one of these, eat this, have this, if you loved me you'd eat.

My response is if you loved me you wouldn't ask.

    Nagging makes me worse
I am sat here trying to make myself drink a cup of tea with milk as even that helps.

OH has gone for a lie down, I know he does it cos he's worried and his OCD is also a control thing but STOP!

Just had a fantastic madam pickle cuddle
She is now perched on the cat throne blowing kisses.

    That's better
