The joys of pet ownership melly. Is the vet going to have to wear those gauntlets to cover their whole arms to protect from an unhappy tomcat?

Hi Melly - hope everything went well at PDSA this morning.

Now please forgive me if this has already been suggested/or you are already using, but as a multi-pet owner/householder I find the use of DAP diffuser a god-send, when I'm having extra people/pets or suffering stress.

I've used diffusers for calming cats and dogs in tandem - and have had excellent results - I've used the Feliway Friends pheronones for the cats, and the Adaptil plug-i diffusers for the dogs. Results? calmer but confident dogs and cats!

Might ease some of the tension for your OH too xx

Apparently tomcat is huge (come here big fella let's have a look)

The bite that caused the abscess was big and deep

I will have to give the antibiotics as OH is allergic to penicillin.

    In with the dogs

I have taken heed what you said about questions melly. I wouldn't like to contribute to you leaving the thread. Do stay around.

Glad tomcat is okay and I hope you get your tooth sorted. Sounds like you would be better rid of it. One thing I would say though if you are having it out is that as you have had a massive infection it would have loosened it hopefully and won't be that hard to take out. I have had a few teeth taken out and with all the injections they give you nowadays it doesn't hurt at all and is much quicker and less painful than a filling. Just have a good rest after and put your feet up.

Maybe one of the reasons that you feel so wobbly is because of the infection in your mouth. That can make you feel very crook.
The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best
