Melly - is your husband aware of your anorexia? Does he talk to you about it or try to encourage you to eat?

Because it seems to me that you need the kind of support that family can offer. I'm saying this because my daughter has suffered from binge eating disorder and we have had many years of battling this. I think she is finally recovering at last. However, she has had unstinting support from me in this.

I don't know much about anorexia but from what I have read it does have some similarities to binge eating. My daughter had this self hate low esteem thing going on but perhaps it is something else with you.

The reason I am saying all this is that I think perhaps you should use the support you get on here to help you. Perhaps and this is only a suggestion you should talk about it more, about what is going on in your mind when you can't eat. The thing is, even if everyone is ignorant about anorexia as I am, it still helps if you can get something out in the open and receive friendly opinions or suggestions. Sometimes something that someone says will strike a note with you.

That is what happened to my daughter. She had shed loads of sympathy and advice and nothing worked yet one self help book suddenly twigged. I hope you don't think I am intruding but from what you said about losing more weight it sounds as if you could do with a bit of support that doesn't seem to be forthcoming from your family.

You get plenty of love and friendship from people on here. I am sure they would support you. I get the feeling you are pushing it to the back of your mind. I don't know maybe you should think of yourself as one of the cats, needing nourishment. I get the feeling you are pretty much alone in this but tell me off if I am wrong. Sorry if I am being too intrusive but I just think that maybe you are a bit in denial. Maybe you should talk about it.

    He is aware tes

Talking about it got me a being shouted at PM from the forum team and meant I stopped posting on WaS's thread.

I have been anorexic since I was 7, it's a control thing food was all I could control so I did.

I have lost more weight, today we managed a piece of peanut butter on toast (no butter for some reason) so something not enough but something

As I gain more control I will he able to focus on eating, this is how I get it back under control
