Little bit of myself saying what you did (nothing wrong with you, just migraine, your wasting their time) other bit saying leg doesn't usually get weak and arm would be back by now get to the hospital. Huge chunk telling me everyone I know in the last few years who'd been to hospital is dead, logic telling me that's not hospitals fault.
Do you see where I'm going......
I understand what you're saying melly (my nan literally died 24 hrs after changing hospitals and we believe to this day it was because she didn't want to die in the hospital she was in as every other family member had died there) but think on this.
how many times has it been said that if the patient had only seeked medical help sooner that they might have had a fighting chance or the medical team's job would have been easier.

have you thought that for some people it's because they didn't seek care soon enough?
Statistically you are more likely to die out of hospital than in. If you think you are sick then you need care, it really is that simple. You can pontificate all you wish but that is as simple as it is.0 -
I understand melly - you cant afford to be really sick as others are depending on YOU. but hunny, just because you haven't been to hospital for a diagnosis or treatment does NOT mean you are not sick.
I know where you are coming from as I am like that myself. the thing is melly - far better to go now while you still have some control than keep ignoring it and suddenly you are rushed in unconscious! or worse. Melly, your OH and the furbabies will be better off if you go now. you don't want them suddenly losing you do you? sorry to be so blunt, but you need to stop thinking you are doing them a favour or protecting them - you aren't. they want and need to care for you too! I only say this because I have grown to care very much for you. and if I was stood in front of you this is exactly what I would say to you.0 -
Melly - you know I am usually supportive, and I hope you know that I am sympathetic, but I am adding my voice.
My father has been bed-bound for the last twelve months. We may have been able to get him back on his feet if he had called me when he lost the use of his legs instead of waiting 10 hours and hoping it would wear off. If he hadn't waited a full weekend back in September 2013 before getting medical care after a stroke he may never have had the problems last July that left him bed-bound.
So sorry to be a bit of a bully, but seriously, go. Get help. Hugs xxx
(in my father's case, he was worried he wouldn't be allowed his whisky. Well he can't have it now because his swallow mechanism is completely expletive deleted. Just go. And update us that you are okay!!!!)Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -

Moo - ~squish~ hoping for a positive hospital visit for you. Much as we all want to know how you are getting on etc, your first priority is a little time spent on yourself and your health at the moment, so we will see you as and when. x0
