Morning!
Hope squeak feels better soon, piggers. DD caught it from DS when she was about 18mths, I've never seen so many spots - her back was a mess. She was poorly with it but not so much itchy.
We've been up to town this morning. Got DD prescription but need to go back tomorrow as they didn't have enough. I've said I'll take her to the library so we need to go back anyway.
Got some bits of shopping from h0me bargains and got DS a fleece from the uniform shop.
I've taken the thermal curtains down, kitchen and hall looks brighter already! They are folded / bagged up and I'll pop them in the loft when all the holiday stuff is dry and ready to put away too.
I don't quite know where to start at home. We seem to be clean but rather cluttered. It's glorious weather so I might turf DD outside. I need to paint the underneath of the overhang on the playhouse, and I got some cheap florists oasis so we need to make some pretend flowers for the window boxes
I suppose we will take advantage of the nice weather and I'll worry about indoors laterBossymoo

Thanks HB, I didn't want to switch my phone off just in case there was a "proper" incident, it's the first time I've left the three of them alone for more than half an hour. To be fair to them all, there was one falling out and DD seems to have dealt with it ok and no one broke a limb in my absence so I'm calling that a success. Just as well really as I am off out again in less than an hour! This working-mother malarkey is a headache.
I've never had chicken pox so even reading about children who are inflicted makes me  all my kids have has it and I nursed them through it, so maybe I just have a natural immunity? My sister got it when she was 30 and was ever so poorly.
Have only just remembered that DH and I are off into Birmingham for a gig tonight. Which is good as it's one of my favourite bands we're off to see, but it also means DMIL is coming to babysit the kids. Once I'm home from work I need to deposit DD to the train station so she can get back to her Dad's for a party tonight, colour my hair, get the house halfway presentable, feed everyone and get myself ready to leave by 6.30. Fun and japes! I'm not claiming to be kaz-busybut I still feel as though I'm spinning a few too many plates!

Which leaf was that, then? We've even got away with a single coat of emulsion, as it is just a much lighter shade of a similar colour blue, and I don't mind if it has a bit of "texture" with the darker shade almost showing through. Once the net curtain is back up, nobody will be able to spot the imperfections anyway :rotfl:
That one! The 'How do I think positive about this feature I created' leaf.HB, is every film crew in the UK beating a path to your door? :rotfl:
Yes! There is talk of filming another feature film here this summer, which is one of the reasons I'm not fussed about buying a double bed for a one week's confirmed booking. The director would be sleeping in my office again, so it would 'do' him in place of the futon he slept on last year. He's 80! (Mind you, they've still got to sell that first film, so I'm not sure when it'll be confirmed they will go ahead with a second one.)Better is good enough.0 -

Sounds a bit like my house - ours has a 'random' feel about it but like to feel it's more eclectic :rotfl: - after all a chair's a chair isn't it ?
Spent morning putting things back where they should be - my gran used to call it 'tidying' but this is more like mega-shifting. Was nearly tempted outside but then started to rain. Lunch now then - rubbing hands in glee - on with 'The List' .
:coffee: anyone ?

We've painted the underneath of the roof overhang and I've put the wind home out. We have some solar string lights so I've put the panel in the sun while I think about how to hang them. Have also put bunting on the second floor ledge to hopefully remind us all not to bump our heads :rotfl:Bossymoo

Oh my life! Bless her, I'm itching just thinking about it!
Work decluttered until Tuesdayand DD decluttered to the station, she's at New St now, waiting on the right platform for her connection which is a vast improvement on last time
RIGHT! Time to tackle my roots. See you when I'm less badger-y…0 -
Well, after my holidays and then a week or so of only doing dailies, I finally got my finger out and made a start this morning. My friend rang and invited me out to lunch at 12.30pm so that spurred me on to get the whole house into a reasonable state. Here is what is left on the lists and I've played the WM shuffle lots, changed all the beds and lit candles and oil-burners. Thanks Dusty and all you other flyladies. Get well and less-spotty vibes to all in need.
