I hope you don't me joining :) I am at home a lot as I can only work 1 day a week of my pt job due to childcare. I have 2 small businesses, 2 kiddies, an oh, and a dog as well :). I find it hard to keep on top of the housework even though I am at home all day so this will help me keep on top of everything :)

Thursday - Living Room or similar
    15 minutes...
[STRIKE]Clear the floor and hoover through[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Collect up any leaflets, newspapers, school letters which can be recycled[/STRIKE]
    30 minutes...
[STRIKE]Dust the tv and other electricals
Piles - how are yours? Deal with at least one[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Empty the bins[/STRIKE]
    Got an hour....
[STRIKE]Wash any throws, curtains, cushion covers[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Clean the windows and the ledges[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Wipe the mantle and the coffee table[/STRIKE]
    Extras
[STRIKE]Declutter your purse of receipts and your handbag of sweet wrappers[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Pelvic floors girls give them a workout[/STRIKE]

Rather than curtains/throws I will be cleaning out the jumperoo that is in there that I need to sell and we don't have a bin in the living room but Im sure I will have stuff making its way to the bin in the kitchen! I also have a mountain of baby clothes on a chair that have been in here for about a month so I will get those out of here and if I get them listed on eBay ill have to it from the bedroom! There is also part of the blind that needs fixing so I will try to do that today too as it is driving me mad. I will probably clear the floor and hoover about 3 times as its malting time for the dog!

    Morning all.

I haven't caught up with the thread, so hugs, sticks, spoons to all :D

Spent the whole of yesterday sorting out orders, started about 9.30am (after paying the credit cards & moving money around), had an hour for lunch, and finished about 6pm but needed a hot drink and a break to get my head straight before heading out with DD at 7pm to put cards through to customers and pick up some lunch supplies by which point I was too tired and achy so we had chippy tea :o DD then uttered the immortal words "I need a shirt for school" so I sorted the ironing out to try and find some clean shirts. I now have 2 collapsible crates of ironing sorted into hers and mine/household. I then tided up all the mess from work but gave up and went to bed at 10.30 as I was fighting to keep my eyes open.

Today I've ironed 2 shirts for DD & a pair of jeans for me, nagged DD to get a move on as she was on a go slow, checked banking, checked my latest gas/elec bill (£20 down on last years...really need to make more of an effort!) and had breakfast while catching up on here/facebook.

Today's plan is to fly until 9.30am then get on with work, I have 60 newsletters/books to prepare to go out tonight, put tea on in the slow cooker, have a bath & change my bed before DD gets home around 4pm. Oh and to actually sit down and eat a proper lunch instead of just swigging a cup of soup while multi-tasking :o

    Kitchen:
    Wash up
    Tidy fridge / freezer
    Wipe sides / cupboard fronts
    Clear windowsill & wipe
    Wash mats
    Vacuum floor
    Mop floor
    Livingroom:
Clear ironing pile - All sorted, just needs doing!
    Dust
    Clean mirrors
    Vacuum sofas
Vacuum floor (move sofas & tables)
    Mop floor
    Hall/stairs/landing:
    Vacuum
    Dust
    Bedrooms:
    Make beds
    Dust
    Vacuum
    Bathroom:
    Clean suite
    Vacuum
    'Mop'
    Clean towels

    Other:
    Work -
Calling cards (unable to deliver), money, books, newsletter
Update finances - I've shifted it around where I need to, but updating my offline accounts will have to wait.
    Re-lace DD's trainers
Tea : Something chicken in the slow cooker :rotfl:
Work on teddy - snout, and most of one side of his head done, still have loads more to do!
Put crafting stuff away It's contained for now.

Going to see what I can get done in a HHC

I have been trying to get DSS out of his bed since before 8 and he's still in there  Last time I agree to marshalling him to school, he is 16 FGS, plenty old enough to get himself up and ready on time but DH and his mum baby him. If he asks me for a lift to the station, he will be denied. I wouldn't do it for my own kids so I'm not starting now!

Left the kitchen tidy at 10pm and it's a state again :( Have WUDUPA and swept the floor, leaving the rest for DD & DSD as they're the guilty parties.

Off to work for a couple of hours, DD is in charge of my boys, I anticipate a moaning phone call within 10 minutes because there's fighting.

I didn't think I was in a bad mood this morning but having read that back, I may be wrong :o

Have a good day, all! xx

6 adults?... make the lazy bu&&ers help!!!! You are not the maid or the slave and they all have 2 arms and 2 legs I'm guessing.. Do they not cook or clean at home? Do they live in piles of their own mess or do they tidy after themselves??

There are already paw prints across the clean floor, but no matter.

Taking a leaf out of Ionafan's interior design book, can you not regard these individual quirky ideas as the 'New Look?' Lawrence Le/Bow will soon be copying you and issueing all newly decorated kitchens with stick on decal dog paw prints. Hmm .... Trots off to get a quote from the local printer ....
    I hope you don't me joining :)

The more the merrier Natterjack! It sounds as though you've got your hands full, so you've found the right place.

(((Hugs))) Fizz. Not a good start to anyone's day. Can you switch your phone off?

Does anyone use Kerastase Reflection shampoo? A random theatre person left it here and although I often use up dregs, this one doesn't agree with my hair. It's really really expensive, so if anyone can use the rest of the bottle, PM and I'll cover the postage.

House tidying still going on here. We've got a double/treble booking coming up in July for someone that we both really like, so I'm buying a (secondhand) bed to go into my office temporarily because his wife might accompany him and it would be great to see both of them again. I've decided for once to get properly ahead of myself and spring clean it now, by the time the weather perks up properly, I won't have to worry about dust before I wash the carpet prior to their arrival.

~ and breaking news, C0me d!ne w! m3 are filming an episode in a neighbour's house on Saturday. Lovely houseshare neighbours, but they rented it unfurnished, so nearly all their stuff came from skips, the pavement and Freecycle over a month or so last year and their dining chairs are fairly random. They're borrowing ours, so that'll be hysterical when it's finally transmitted. :rotfl:
    Better is good enough.

    Good morning all

First batch of rockery rocks collected last night - an expedition involving a trip to a garden centre with a totally quirky tea room and excellent cherry scones :D

I went out and got the second batch this morning (there are a couple with really nice fossils :) ) but no more scones :p

DH and I have moved the guest room furniture round this morning and I've started folding the cloths and plastic sheets and hoovering the carpet. Next job is to sort the two cupboards and 4 drawers full of toys and craft materials

GWS Squeak. My DS1 rang to say that DGD1 has caught chickenpox too, so I can expect to be looking after DGD2 in a fortnight's time. They're still coming to tea tonight, if DGD1 is feeling OK this afternoon. I expect she will be!
