Well, that almost went to plan
decided against the regular DVD player and got a little bluray instead, £20 in points converted to £40 voucher (max amount you can swap), plus £19.99 cash. The same model is selling for £75+ on Amaz0n so I still feel vindicated in doing this… :money:
Never got around to colouring my hair so that'll have to roll over until tomorrow. Just about to make chicken tikka masala again, I'm on to a winner with this one

Girls table sanded
Bedside cupboard sanded and painted white.. I need to whizz sandpaper over when it is dry and do another coat.. 4 coats of 'on coat' paint is ridiculous!
I have a shelf unit to paint and stick stuff to cover the girls table.. it was VERY manky looking.
Squeak is popping up pox at the rate of knots.. she is going to be covered!!! No sign on either of the other 2 but Dot has been warm for a couple of days and very grouchy so I don't think she'll be far behind.. and Pixie will have them in 3 weeks time so we can't go to his mothers and will miss her thanksgiving waste of time service.!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

You don't !!
6 adults?... make the lazy bu&&ers help!!!! You are not the maid or the slave and they all have 2 arms and 2 legs I'm guessing.. Do they not cook or clean at home? Do they live in piles of their own mess or do they tidy after themselves??
Get them all roped in.. the cheek of it!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
No flying for me today.
Did something a bit silly last night (moneysaving because I collected some large plastic garden pots and good soil from a skip, took dolly truck so only real effort was lifting them out and putting them onto truck, but must have been too much).
Slept badly 2 x 2hours max and hurt everywhere this morning. Had to get moving to get to physio appointment. Was trying to be careful yesterday, hoping I would manage the walk but it came down to taxi or all day anybus ticket - ended up with both as bus had just gone when I came out and I had had enough by then.
Have 4 exercises to do, have to hold each position for a count of ten, ten repetitions and do the whole lot 10 times a day - I am definitely out of balance, bits of me are turned in/out/ just plain wrong. Ordered more painkillers from doctors (did it while waiting for appointment time) but have to go back tomorrow afternoon to collect.
Had a sandwich and slept like a baby - had to force myself back out of the house as I wanted to find out my weight. Six weeks of enforced idleness means I have put back 4 lbs but I suppose it could have been a lot worse. More confirmation of my current infirmity (sat looking at the old sign whilst waiting for my taxi and thought what a lovely word it was - a nice sunny corner to park all the infirm ones) - weighing machine showed me more than 2" short of my real height (was trying to stand up straight) and every time I tried to stand up, I winced and someone (pensioners, young lad) moved to catch me/ asked if I was alright.
I have decided to temporarily retire from flying. I am actively avoiding some of my house - the part-painted room, the pile of laminate flooring in the front room (it's only 2 days work at the most but I haven't managed to move more than 3 boards without having to rest).
I know we aren't supposed to do everything on the list but at the moment it is reinforcing everything I cannot manage/ am not allowed to do and I am trying to be positive. I will do my exercises, I will get better. I will focus on one little bit at a time and do what I am able.
Thank you for the lists and good luck with your flying - just feeling a bit broken at the moment. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -

kazwookie how do you cope with all that? You sound like superwoman!
I have just sat down after 7 hours marking coursework, an hour prepping for tutoring and an hour tutoring. I need to start a flying list for tomorrow (and maybe do a few bits in the advert breaks tonight!)LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Haven't actually got to the flying today but have eaten a few governor frogs. New hot water tank being fitted tomorrow so upstairs will be out of bounds, still I'll eat a huge governor frog and have lots of errands to run outside of the house.
Mothernerd wishing you a speedy recovery. The lists are only ideas, if the person writing them isn't achieving them or worrying about it then you certainly don't need to! We all need to find our own way of flying to fit in with our lives, health, work etc.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
I feel like a cross between kazwookie and mothernerd - worn out and aching all over - and sympathise with you both. DH and I have repainted the walls of the downstairs bedroom, and climbing up and down stepladders and balancing with my arms up to cut in along the ceiling line has left me feeling about 100, But it's done, and looks sooooo much better
. We've even got away with a single coat of emulsion, as it is just a much lighter shade of a similar colour blue, and I don't mind if it has a bit of "texture" with the darker shade almost showing through. Once the net curtain is back up, nobody will be able to spot the imperfections anyway :rotfl:
Tomorrow we can put the furniture back in place (actually in its new place - swopping a wardrobe and linen press round so that the wardrobe doors can be fully opened instead of hitting the end of the bed) and I shall go curtain hunting. DS1 is bringing the family over to tea, so I must make an effort to tidy up and clean downstairs - I realised today that the kitchen floor is really grubby.
Goodnight all zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....0
